The cover art is the best part of this "book."
These boys, I love them all! Abby and the Cute One was another great add to the series and it still continues to amaze me how a whole series is written from different authors, so good and sweet.
Nathan and Abby’s story was so cute! Abby is auditioning for Seconds to Juliet opening act. The previous night she met Nathan and the both of them shared the cutest moment. But with LJ being a monster-manager and putting the weight of the band’s heartthrob and single on Nathan, he can’t date Abby.
I kind of had enough of the mean manager at this point, every book deals with him doing some kind of soap-operish dramatic stuff on the boys to keep them from dating and it never works, obviously, like it didn’t work now.
I loved this series and the S2J boys so much, I can’t recommend this enough if you’re looking for a light boy band read and swoony boys! (You know you want to!)
This whirlwind romance will charm you one moment while get you ramped up in the next. In addition, it gives you excitingly fun updates of all the other S2J members! The updates are for those (like me) who can’t help but want to stay on top of what is going on with them all. Yet, what hooks you for good are Nathan, Abby, and their relationship.
You can instantly tell Nathan & Abby have a connection that runs deep, which is why their relationship and this novel is rushed. However, their relationship is written in a way that is so sweet I felt like saying, “Awwww,” within most of their scenes. It has that sweet romance teen factor that can charm you from the beginning and leaves you wanting more.
I recommend this novel to those who are S2J fans and/or those looking for a fairy-tale style teen romance!!

In the previous books, the couples had a kind of love/hate relationship at the beginning. There was never REALLY any insta-love going on, though there was tension between Matt and Anya from the beginning. Anyway, Abby and Nathan kiss the first time that they meet. This bothered me a little bit at first just because things seemed to be moving way too fast, but somehow Butler still made this work. Even though they did kiss right away, there was still a lot of things getting in the way of them being together. You couldn't help but cheer for them as a couple because they were such likable characters on their own. They had a lot in common, they both had an undeniable love for music and I personally loved that mutual bond between them.
I found the business side of the band to be really fascinating. There's a lot that goes into being on tour and I feel like Butler showed that really well. However, I did find the manager to be extremely irritating honestly, I just craved Nathan to have more freedom regarding his image. Being a teenager alone is already difficult, I can't even imagine what it would be like being a FAMOUS teenager who's constantly in the spotlight. I thought Abby was a great character and I really felt how much she wanted to be on the stage. Though I liked her, I felt like there could have been even more exploration with her character. I felt like Nathan's development was well done, but Abby's wasn't as great.
I recommend reading the other books in the series before you pick up this one. Yes, you don't absolutely have to, but I feel like you'll have more of an investment in these characters and their stories if you do. I was sad when I hit the last page, but I was completely satisfied with the ending and felt like Butler wrapped everything up in the best way she could.
