By Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwen
5 out of 5 stars
The story Aberration (Aberration Series Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwen is an exciting, entertaining, and wonderful book to read. The story grabbed my interest from the beginning and didn’t let go until the final page. I loved reading about the character of Anyanka Truman. Her life changed when she found out she is an aberration. It changes, even more, when secrets, new information, and betrayal comes to light. What will happen next? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages. It is fast-paced, and it seems that something is happening all the time. There are times when emotions run high and there is danger. Many other characters interact with Anyanka and I enjoyed reading about them. Anyanka is a character that is smart and independent. She is someone that the others learn to trust. I found myself quickly running out of chapters to read and when I got to the end, I couldn’t help but wish for more. The story is interesting, intriguing, and fun to read. I would highly recommend it.
This book was amazing!!! What these characters are is something completely new to me, which is rare and exciting in the supernatural book world. At the same time, it has the feel of being based on old world legends/beliefs. I really like how the authors took this and modernized it, making it feel of both worlds at the same time. The characters themselves are great too. They feel real, with real problems. I cannot wait to see how each of the characters evolves as the series goes on.
This is a great book to introduce us to a new world and series and I eagerly await the next book, plus hope there will be many to come! The characters are teenagers, but it is also a wonderful read for adults too -- it does not alienate the adults like some teenage books tend to do. I highly recommend this book for all ages young adult and higher.
Aberration (Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie & Rebecca E. McEwan
Aberration (Book 1) is a unique fantasy book that is a quick-read that’s full of action. I like that the story had some things that were completely unexpected, like a little romance thrown in, and that it had a strong young female character in it. The characters were described so well that you felt you knew them. The story sucked me in and feeling the stress, excitement, betrayal, and other emotions along with the characters. The story moved super fast so there was a lot packed into it, but I liked having chapters from different characters points of view to really see how they each were feeling throughout everything. I look forward to seeing where book 2 of the series takes them.
Aberration is the first book in the Aberration series by Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E. McEwen. It’s a mix of fantasy, paranormal, drama, action, danger, romance, and emotion.
The story is told from multiple POV’s which really gave me a great perspective of everything that was happening. The story is fast paced and easy to read. There is a lot going on, but the authors have choreographed everything into a smooth, quick, and easy read. It definitely kept me engaged the whole way through.
Looking forward to seeing what book two has in store for us.
Thank you, Naomi Valkyrie and Rebecca E. McEwen!
Aberration is a wonderful story with characters you fall in love with. The story does move very fast, so it does give off a hint of being rushed. However, that does not take away from the story. I am excited to read the second book, so I can see what happens next!
As soon as I started reading this book I was hooked. I just loved the character of Anyanka!! I connected with her so easily and loved the way she was written.
The collaboration of authors worked well. Their writing style fit well and the story was cohesive and interesting. This is a brilliant book and one I would highly recommend.
