I am more than a little in to horror movies. Vampires have been done in many ways over time and some have been very good, some not so good. Much of my enjoyment is finding a new way to present this near ancient legend in a way that isn't just the same ole stuff.

Abigail wins for me. Sure, it is somewhat predictable, but the approach is fresh and new, and the acting was fun. I liked the tragic antihero in our main character, and I enjoyed the tense action throughout. If you are ready for a little fun, and a lot of blood, jump ion and enjoy!

Whoever made this film doesn't understand medicine (people who are sedated need very precise dosage so using a dose intended for a big person on someone else would likely end very badly in a way which no one with medical training would even try) nor do they understand police work. At first this really annoyed me since I approached this film expecting it to be a dark psychological thriller with a supernatural twist.

After seeing the end of the movie however, I realized that this is an enjoyably campy vampire flick which works as long as you take it as spooky story. The ending is also better than I expected given the premise, and it seemed a bit morally rooted which was a nice change from a lot of the nonsense horror movies I've seen.

If you approach this as vampire entertainment, you won't be disappointed.

Good watch. I liked the acting. The young girl is a good actress. The other actors did a great job as well. Good acting and script. I would watch again.

Alisha Weir as "Abigail" is an actress that will do extremely well - given the chance - in other feature films. At her young age, she showed incredible range and ability and was the absolute standout in the film. The cast was great and the story was, too. Very chilling. However, because the trailers for "Abigail" had so many spoilers in it, the surprises throughout the film were ruined and fell flat. Whoever made the decisions and cuts on the trailers should re-evaluate and understand that audiences - most of the time - appreciate anticipation and the unknown always works best when they actually see the entire film. Don't take the suspense away and waste it on trailers.

Abigail is a wicked fun movie! I don't want to give too much away but the way that Abigail's movement and grace reminds me very much of the movie Meagan. There are a few surprises in the movie that I didn't see coming. Have watched it about five times already picked up some new stuff every time and it's good horror escape.

The plot was pretty predictable, but it was as advertised, so… It was a pretty flimsy plot, though, because there wasn’t any really good reason as to why These people were selected. When they explain the reason, it was like it could’ve been anyone, and didn’t really seem to have any real feel, or surprise to it. It would’ve been better, if they just explained that the girl wanted to play with her food first.

I highly enjoyed this movie. I watched it wanting a vampire movie, and they delivered. You can just turn you brain off and enjoy the carnage. if you are looking for twilight, this is not it...in fact, the total opposite of pretty and glittery.

I think most girl boss movies are hard to get into but this is inclusivity of females done right. I loved it and the ending surprise was extremely good.
