Elmer's mom is most helpful and supplies some water wings for her to use.
I liked it because it shows that little ones are able to overcome their fears with the proper encouragement from adults.
Most highly recommended.
It is a hot day and Abigail is hot and sweaty, but when her friend Elmer wants her to come to his swimming pool, Abigail is afraid of the water and too proud to admit it. I won't tell you the rest of the story but suffice it to say that somehow a bird, puppy and frog helped her change her mind!
The pictures are perfect for young children and the story simple enough for them to understand, especially children who may be afraid of going in the water. I would recommend this book.
