The Good? Fast-paced witty dialogue that made me smile and even laugh out loud sometimes. Interesting, unexpected turn of events - constantly.
The Bad? Characters and situations have no real depth, like a short romantic comedy movie. Too much focus on sex. Unrealistically quick shallow intimate relationships in too much sexually explicite detail. (I skipped pages.)
The mystery is believable and the well-paced action kept me reading. It was both entertaining and suspenseful. I hope we'll get more stories about Paige and Jake!
In the past, I never gave up on a book, but as I am getting ever nearer to 60 yrs of age, I don't push myself to stay in unpleasant situations anymore.
I am sorry to the author, who I am sure put a lot of work into the story. It just wasn't for me. Since I received this book free on Kindle, I feel obligated to leave a review.
