The clips on both ends are extremely strong and secure - meaning that my phone isn't going to drop onto my face while I'm reading and the entire thing isn't going to detach from my bedside table accidentally. But a light tap on the phone surface (to flip pages in my ebook reader) causes the entire thing to jiggle for a couple of seconds - which, in turn, makes it difficult to keep reading. The gooseneck arm is definitely rigid and strong - but not rigid enough to prevent the movement. That said, this works better than anything else I've tried, so far.

Works okay for phone although quite wobbly. Does not work at all for a nexus tablet. The device grip is about an inch and a half short for the width of a 7 inch Nexus tablet. Even tried a Lenovo Tab which is a half inch thinner and couldn't even force it into the grips. Even if a tablet did fit I don't think it would stay due to the angle of the grips with that big of a device. This is for phones only.

While it actually grips the phone securely, the rest of it sucks. If you're lucky to find something the stand will clamp to without slipping and get everthing adjusted to your liking, one laugh or sneeze or cough and it all collapses. Save your money.

For the price, this is a very sturdy product. This seems to be a versatile product in regards to the different places you might be able to use it (in bed, at your desk, near the computer, etc.). How I used it? I used it at my work right next to my computer monitors. Yes, you could probably just put your phone down next to your keyboard or mouse or something. Does it look good like that? Probably not. But, with this clamp, and a little ingenuity in regards to mounting, you can cleanly place your phone right next to your monitor or monitors. Is it needed? No. But, it sure looks cool! =) But, not only that, I usually have many things on my desk, such as projects, samples, documents, and such. This helps clear my desk a little and keep my phone at a place where I can see all incoming text messages, emails, sports scores, Facebook posts……. Oh wait, I don’t do that at work. =)

This product actually doesn't suck at all which was a surprise to me after spending 4 dollars for this super handy cellphone holder. The price to value as the deal bargainers would put it is truly a thing to cause you to gaze up at the stars and wonder about. Its kind-of like getting a Rolls Royce for the 5 cents that you found on the sidewalk by accident anyway. Go figure. On to the details... The holder has a really strong/sturdy'ish neck which you can move around and it holds the cell phones weight to perfection. Now on to the clamp, it clamps to a coffee table strongly with the bite of a great white shark. It holds the cellphone in place clamping down tight with the fury of a rabid Chihuahua. Or should I say the fury of 10,000 rabid Chihuahuas, its all the same to an unsuspecting coffee table. Its fierce grip rivals that of the chosen one who pulled out The Sword In The Stone. No, it wasn't just a Disney movie! It was real! I would have to say I am 100% satisfied with the AboveTEK cellphone holder. It is definitely a cut above the competition, pun intended.

The product worked great for about an hour, but then the glue holding the joint of the phone clip portion came undone, completely ruining the product. Aside from this issue, the product was very useful. The clip that holds the device is very strong, and the snaking arm is surprisingly sturdy.

For years, I've been searching for a solution to "dock" my phone in the car. Products that stick eventually melted off. Other products that suction on the windshield were too far away for me to comfortably reach from the drivers' seat. This product is awesome! I clipped the clamp on my console, and stretched the arm up and around to the perfect spot next to my gear shift. The best part, it's not permanently there. If I want to move it closer or further away, I can in a matter of seconds. The only negative I have, is that it wiggles quite a bit with the movement of the car, so isn't sturdy when driving, which could make you motion sick if you're trying to follow a map. If you're trying to read a text, email, etc. when driving, you'll definitely get sick - but then again, you shouldn't be doing that anyway! :)
