Action, extreme adventure and romance. So much good stuff in this book.
A counter-terrorist organization against a sociopath. A hero and heroine who both are honorable, stubborn and loyal. And instantly attracted to each other.
Totally loved reading this book. It is part of a series, but absolutely can be read alone.
"She might be a lingerie designer, but she was as kick ass as they came."
“I work for T-FLAC. It's a private counterterrorist organization. We go after the biggest and baddest tangos around the world."
"Sounds like a non-stick frying pan."
He smiled. "Terrorist Force Logistical Assault Command."
A counterterrorist operative. That made more sense than his being a bishop. "Is your name really Ash Daklin, or is that an alias?"
"When I build a legend, I stick as close to the truth as I can. That's my real name. Everyone calls me Daklin.”
Excerpt From: Adair, Cherry. “Absolute Doubt.”
If you like your romance filled with deadly action and adventure, along with many steamy scenes and interesting characters, then you will like this one. There were some characters from previous T-FLAC books, but you don't have to read them first. It is a good introduction to the series. See what you think! Enjoy.
Dreadful boring main protagonists; I've often wondered what would happen if both the man and the woman in a romance/adventure fell into the category of TSTL. I really didn't think it was possible but . .
Disgraced and disabled Tflac operative Asher is sent to a mythical South American country to blow up emerald mining enterprise that is actually a front for, anexplosives mining manufacturing, brokering and exporting operation. Herein lies the makings of a darn good adventure romance. Especially when you throw in the gorgeous blonde who makes a sudden unexpected appearance because she wants to know what happened to her brother.
Sadly the entire thing never gets off the ground and wanders in aimless circles hashing and rehashing Asher's guilt over his brother's death, his alcoholism, and his terrible leg injury. This leg injury is the elephant in the living room of the entire book. In spite of constant, excruciating pain he is able to run, leap into moving vehicles and execute flying karate kicks in hand to hand combat. Oh,and make serious mind-blowing love in the front seat of a convertible!
Oh and our intrepid blonde TSTL heroine? She is,as stated, dead set on rescuing her brother, who everyone, including this reader, knows from the get-go is one of the major baddies. She does acknowledge he has Issues, mild Aspergers, and never was very nice to her or anyone else. But she keeps making excuses for him, and spends pages rehashing all of this over and over,
I do believe the book hits rock bottom when within a very short span after a rather improbable action sequence the poor girl is too rattled to remember how to fasten her seat belt and the same language is used to describe this circumstance in three instances! Grade School composition.
I have absolutely no doubt I'm not going to buy future books in this series.
This book is HOT!! Fast paced and action packed! From page one to the very last page! It has everything that was expected from a Cherry Adair book!
I loved it!
