I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!
Thus began Mirren & Glori's journey towards coupledom! A great, though not easy adventure. But it was a helping process for the slayer and the freak. This author has made a seemingly simple & predictable storyline very engaging and fun to read. I couldn't stop and I loved the that tortured hero struggle that Mirren was going through. He wanted the love, but felt he didn't desrving of it due to his past as an executioner for hire. I also love Glori's strength because she was much tougher than Krys. Glori had been battle tested by her family and thus a perfect match for Mirren. I love the various characters and how they were intertwined. I can't wait for book 3.
The best part of the book, for me, was the ending. It was kind of predictable, but then not. The bad guy is so terribly bad that although I'm cheering for his defeat, I'm excited that he's there and keeps slipping out of the noose to wreck more havoc.
Just started the third book and it's great so far.
