Knowledge About History

When I bought the basalt carving in the photo, all I knew was that it was "Egyptians." No, not Egyptians, but four immense statues of ONE Egyptian, Ramesses II. When I got home with this heavy carving and up my eight front steps with it, it took very little time online to identify it, but then of course I wanted to know more. "Abu Simbel, Aswan and the Nubian Temples" supplied that information. I would recommend it.
