I’ve been looking for a new helmet for forever. I’m a city bike commuter with a small head and all the “urban” type commuter helmets are too big and bulky on me - although they may look cute or trendy on others. Plus I’ve found for summer riding they are so hot and heavy without good ventilation. I have been on the quest for a well ventilated, good-looking urban type helmet that doesn’t cost a fortune and I’m SO stoked to have stumbled across this one!! I was hesitant to purchase the medium since other small helmets were still too big, but after reading the reviews on other small heads that the medium fit I went ahead and took the plunge! And it actually fits! The knob in the back is great so you can custom fit it to your head, and it feels so good on I almost forget its there sometimes! I do half of my riding at night since I work late and so the light on the back was a big selling point for me too. I have gotten many compliments on it and it is the first helmet I’ve ever tried that I didn’t feel embarrassed to wear or that it made me look like a huge dork! This may seem like a petty thing, but as a former anti-helmet wearer for 5+years, finally finding something that feels good (opposed to bulky, I’ll-fitting or looks like I’m about to bike the tour-de-France) is huge for me! Love everything about this helmet!

I've gone through a lot of bicycle commuter helmets (Bern Allston, Bern Brentwood, POC Crane, Giro Sutton) and I'm really impressed with this helmet. It has a bunch of features that are useful for a bicycle commuter. It's got some reflective stickers along the back, an integrated red light (with 3 different modes), bug netting in the front vents, a removeable plastic visor, and a soft fabric pad that sits between the chin clip and my neck (great for keeping the chin strap from pulling on my neck stubble). The integrated light is activated by pressing on the light itself and by pressing repeatedly you can cycle through the blinking modes. Also, for a commuter style helmet, there are plenty of vent holes to keep my head cool in hotter weather.
This helmet is fairly comfortable, with my only complaint being that it's a bit on the heavy side compared to the lighter weight road style helmets out there. Fit is fine tuned using a dial on the back of the helmet.
Stylistically, this helmet looks like a perfect cross between a commuter helmet and a mountain bike helmet. It looks at home in either situation, though the integrated blinking light would give it away as a commuter helmet. I'm surprised with how much I like the way this helmet looks. It's not the lowest profile helmet I've owned (that'd be the Bern Zipmold Allston), but it doesn't look huge either. I purchased the white color and it has a white eggshell texture to it.
This is a solid helmet for me and a great deal for such a feature rich helmet. I'm gonna rate it 5 stars even though there is room for improvements. It'd be a little closer to perfection if it was a little lighter, had a slightly longer visor (maybe it could come with two different sized visors?), and had a magnetic clip on the helmet strap.
