My own approach on this matter had been entirely through a scholarly debate. This takes a lot more hard work, rigor, and creativity. Undoubtedly, Doniger and her followers had retreated as a result of my challenges. But now she has made a comeback, ironically using the withdrawal of her book, to position herself as a victim. This compilation opens with an interview of me conducted by another independent scholar who resides in the United States and who has followed the works of these biased academics for over two decades. Thereafter, this book republishes some of the main writings that first appeared more than a decade back. Hence the writings are of historical value to anyone wishing to have a fair background on what transpired then. I hope you will read this collection of articles with an open mind and form your own views. I wish to thank Abin Sur for editing and formatting the articles into this electronic book. Rajiv Malhotra gives his perspective on the teaching and portrayal of Hinduism. It seems like a follow up to another work he was involved in " Invading the Sacred". An especially needed airing and rebuttal to the bizarre use of Freudian theory to understand Hindi ideas. Book seemed a little academic for a casual reader. I personally liked "The Battle for Sanskrit" better.

If you've been following Rajiv Malhotra on Twitter, Facebook etc. and have read some of his "key" books (Being Different, Indra's Net...) you might have gotten an impression — as I had — that this book slides down a notch or two from those... in importance.
The book arrived a couple of days ago and last night I opened it. I couldn't put it down.
I can't yet tell what but I picked-up/got something completely new from it. An "impact" not found in his/these other books.
Highly recommended.

Invade the sacred has debunked certain western 'scholars' of their dirty work denigrating Sanatan dharma and after reading that, this book accademic Hinduphobia is a natural progression.
I wish more and more Dharma practitioners read, understand the notorious interpretations of Hinduism.
I like Rajiv's work as he rebutts such lunatics without prejudice but point by point and exposes their propaganda. Kudos to the author and ifi.
