Top Customer Reviews
This case is fairly rigid and has good padding; it is also quite light. It works equally well held like an open book or with the front cover folded behind. It was a great bargain at the early price of $8; at $15, it seems fairly priced. Suits my need for a functional, reasonably attractive, less expensive case.
It protects the Kindle really well. I have dropped it several times and my Kindle is still kicking, with no dents or scratches to either the Kindle or the case. The case fits really well with no trouble getting the Kindle in or out. The Kindle has not slipped out at all. I can still access all of the Kindle buttons we well as the speaker jack and the usb port. I have yet to use my Kindle's speakers so I cannot say whether this case would hinder the sound or not. The only thing that could make this case better is if it was free, but I cannot complain about the price because it was cheaper that some cases I had seen in stores that looked flimsy compared to this case. I would definitely recommend this case.
The cover folds back easily so it is out of the way when reading, and this seems to put little stress on the fold. Two leather corners are sculpted to hold the bottom of the kindle in place. The fit is comfortably snug, and the corners are neatly outlined in stitching to match the rest of the case. At the top, the Kindle is held in place by two elastic strips, tight enough to keep the Kindle from moving around and loose enough to make it easily removable if you need to do that. On the inside of the cover a matching suede sleeve provides a place for notes or cards as long as they aren't too thick. Another reviewer felt this needed to be cut away. I can't imagine any reason for doing that. I will keep a few business cards there. The Kindle's on/off button and the two ports are easily accessible at the bottom. Unlike many cases, this one had a leather tab to hold it closed. The tab stays closed by means of a unique catch that is magnetic but that also snaps. It comes open with very little force yet stays closed when bumped or dropped. I've never seen a catch quite like it. Very clean design! What else is there to say? This cover is classy, sturdy, thoughtfully designed and very fairly priced. Bravo, Acase!
Great price and the case feels sturdy and not cheaply made. It has a little pocket inside to hold a paper for notes if you need and it holds on to the kindle perfectly.
The clip on the front is magnetic so you do not need to apply pressure to close it.
I have two petty annoyance with this case. One, the case extrudes a little from all sides which makes the power button more cumbersome to reach at times. If the maker would cut a little notch out where the power button sits on the Kindle Touch, this would solve the problem for me. This is not a huge issue because that button is used so infrequently. Two, because the sides extrude it is sometimes a little awkward to hold while reading for an extended amount of time. This also presents a less comfortable feeling when pressing on the screen to turn the page with you thumb (which I do frequently). The whole process becomes more of a stretch. Not that the stretch is too terrible, but it is not as comfortable as when I hold the Kindle without a case. To read with this case on comfortably, I have to fold the cover flap behind the case, hope that my hands don't degrade the suede over time, and ignore the extra journey that my thumb needs to make to press on the screen to flip pages. Again, this is not a huge deal, but these are reasons why this case did not receive 5 stars from me.
