Relationships are hard to manage when her partners tire of not being able to go out during the day, she has basically decided it isn't worth the hassle.
However, when a co-worker jut doesn't seem to understand the word no, a tall dark and handsome stranger steps in to help, she didn't realize it would lead to her life being uprooted.
Accacia is drawn into a parallel world of paranormal creatures and a Queen who wants her dead. She is forced to put her trust into three vampires who want to devour her in more ways than one.
Rhain, Ezra, and Devin all have different opinions on how to deal with Accacia, but all seem to fight an attraction she causes them.
Vampires are my jam!
If I'm looking for a new book, the first thing I go to is paranormal and usually involving vampires.
This book hits two of my favorite genres. Reverse Harem and Paranormal.
Bea Paige writes beautifully and you get sucked into the characters lives and how they feel.
I found myself speed reading through the book because I just had to know what would happen next.
I've already pre-ordered the next two books in the series because I need to know what will happen.
How will the men react to Accacia being in their world?
What will happen when they find the other "sisters"?
If you are thinking of reading this book, do it.
You will not be sorry. I think you will get sucked into like I did.
It is well-written!
We get to meet Accacia (Cia for short - love the name!) when her world is turned upside down, learning about this other world she has been unknowningly a part of. We get to meet her 3 drool worthy men/vampires: Rhain, Ezra, and Devin. I absolutely adore Devin but it will be toss up which one I am going to love the most come the other 2 books in Cia's story. I can't wait to read more about the consequences of what happened in book 1 (between Rhain and Cia) and what will happen if they drink her blood because of her abilities. I am looking forward to meeting Clover and seeing what happens on this part of the journey. I can't wait to see the barriers come down with Ezra, since he is the focus in Book 2. Also Blake (swooooon)...that's all I'm going to say <3. I thought there was a great mix of story, drama/action, and steam (can't wait to read about her and Devin!!)
There are so many things to be excited about with Bea Paige's debut! I am really looking forward to this series and where she takes us. I recommend everyone who loves a great fantasy/paranormal story read this, especially if you are a follower of #whychoose ;) BTW, this world would be amazing as a coloring book or picture book. The description of Ever Vale is magical sounding!
What I liked about this one is Accacia thinks she just has a skin condition that keeps her from going into the light. She finds out she is wrong when three men come looking for her to help break a curse. What I found interesting about the RH set up in this book is while it is clear she has feeling for all three, it appears each male get its own focus. I like seeing a different take on a RH series as you see a lot of the same things pop up again and again. Ezra and his situation in particular is a new one which makes the book stand out. The same is true with the bond she forms with Devin. While the tension is high, the actual steam level is on the low side.
What I wasn't so fond of: Can the females of the world catch a break and get full disclosure rather then the males keeping something back for some reason?? Seems to be a theme in romance novels and it is driving me up the wall.
I can't wait to read the next two as well as the trilogies for the other 4 sisters. This is shaping up to be a unique, interesting, and exciting adventure!
