UltraAV DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable
Doubles throughput of DisplayPort Version 1.1a. The DisplayPort 1.2 cable is compliant to Version 1.2 specifications and backwards compatible to Version 1.1a. This cable supports all HD resolutions up to 4K and stereoscopic 3D graphics. The cable also supports the daisy chaining of multiple monitors. This cable actually is able to run my new ACER XB270HU at 1440p and 144 hz, I had previously bought a Cable Matters® Gold Plated DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable 10 Feet - 4K Resolution Ready, Item model number: 102005-10 that was not able to push past 85 hz. This cable is one of the verified DisplayPort Cables that will actually transmit at the required data rates (check out displayport.org for more options).
Hope this helps others not get a crappy cable.

This cable is a re-branded bizlink E164571 DP cable with Accell logo and printing on it. Acer XB270HU (and likely other monitors) use the same exact cable in shorter lengths but with the standard bizlink logo/branding. Other than that, the cables are identical - same thickness and same connector (except Accel branding).

Cable feels high quality, almost as thick as a coax RG6 (so it likely has good shielding as advertised), but slightly more flexible. Meets DisplayPort requirements and certifications. Connector fits in snug, latches work well but it sticks out a bit far like most DP cables so if clearance is an issue you might want a 90 degree adapter.

No issues with 1440p/144Hz/G-SYNC on the 3m/10ft model. My monitor still has a sleep bug where it won't wake up without turning it off and on again, but I believe that's the fault of the monitor and not the cable - this occurs on the stock cable as well.

For high resolution/Hz displays I'd definitely recommend any bizlink E164571 based cable such as this over the alternatives, Accell has a lifetime warranty however which is a bonus. Don't be fooled by potentially lesser quality CableMatters DP cables with lots of marketing buzzwords, gold plating isn't needed on the entire plug - just the contacts are sufficient. Quality conductors and shielding is more important.

I thought all cables were the same but I learned that displayport cables are tested and need to pass certain standards from VESA and displayport.org. The ones that pass their tests get to display the DP symbol on the cable.
This doesnt seem to be a problem with hdmi cables. Apparently the wiring of hdmi cables is very straightforward, not so with displayport ones. I learned that lesson.
I bought the Acer 4K monitor on Amazon. This fantastic monitor came with all the cables it needed. Over Christmas I had some family company and somehow the displayport cable on my PC was bent at the neck and it broke off. I ordered a cheap cable from Amazon and I put it in and from the very first second it began to flicker and to go on and off evey so many seconds. I would disconnect the cable and plug it back in and sometimes it would work and others wont.
I thought it was the video card, so I try a different card, then I thought it was the monitor. In the end I tried a different cable and everything worked and my problems went away.
From now on the only displayport cable for me have to have the DP stamped on them.

These are Display Port (DP) certified cables and have worked perfectly. I tried several of the other cables available here on Amazon and had issues with low power, no connection, or screens which kept losing picture and wouldn't come back. Once I changed to these cables all the issues went away! I would highly recommend just spending the few extra dollars these cables might cost and not having the headaches. On two different projects with a pair of Dell U2715H monitors I purchased other cables and had issues. The time I spent trying them out, diagnosing the issue, sending them back, and purchasing the Accell cables was wasted. My application was connecting both monitors by linking them. The Dells allow setting the DP to 1.2 and passing the signal from one monitor to another while only using the DP out from the computer.

I don't usually write reviews, but this product greatly helped me. I have a 4k Samsung monitor hooking this up to a computer system with an NVIDIA GTX 980. The Display Port cable that came with the Monitor basically sucked. It would stop working and have to be plugged in again if I moved tower slightly. It finally stopped working completely and I had to resort to using an HDMI cable, which only could utilize 30hz instead of the 60hz refresh rate the monitor is capable of. This had the affect of making all the colors look washed out and noticeable mouse trails.

The great thing is, this Accell DisplayPort worked beautifully the second I plugged it into the monitor. I was actually expecting to be disappointed, I'm extremely pleased with the colors and how snug the holders keep it in the port. No signs of any issues whatsoever, and I'm highly recommending this product.

Alright, so I spent $800 on a brand new Dell ultrawide monitor, so there's no way in hell I'm going to skimp out on the cable. I've read some things about complacency with such and such rules blah blah blah but I'm just here to tell you that the cable works, and really, do you need to know any more? I've had the cable for some time, no flickering as some people said with other cables, the cable just works great. One of the main features I really enjoy is that it brings the picture from my video card ALL the way over to my monitor. I'm afraid I can't go back to any other cable that does not offer this feature after this cable spoiled me. Do i suggest you purchase a 20 dollar cable? well, lets me honest, if you're using displayport for your monitor, chances are it's a pretty good, expensive monitor. So why not? go ahead, you want a cable you KNOW works? buy this one.
