Having read the series, I can say this is the most lightweight of the books, in terms of storyline or twists, but it's still good. And it begiins to lay out a problem on the horizon.
And oh my gosh, what a whiner! He has to be away from Max overnight and for the foreseeable future while on this assignment, and he finds out while with the clients. He acts stupid and NOT like a coworker; no way the clients wouldn't have noticed and seriously, he is unable to censor himself and stay in control! Just blurts out his first thoughts?" yeah, no, he is not worthy of his job. He gets home and can't handle it because Max isn't there, what a big baby. On top of all that, regardless of feelings, I can't believe Max lets him act like that on the job and it seemed that on every job he was more concerned about his own agenda than his client. I tried with this series, I read the first three books and the first was okay but from there on with Ethan being an idiot, I'm done.
