My wife ordered this for me in February but I did not actually receive it until my birthday in late April. Area where the thumb stick connects to the controller started to break apart by mid July. The thick stopped responding by late, August. Obviously, by this time it was way past the opportunity to return the controller. The controller worked beautifully for the first couple of months, before it started to break apart and ultimately stop functioning. Being that the controller was made by PlayStation I had expected significantly better quality in its construction. This controller was a massive disappointment.

Years ago I was doing some right hand data acquisition on rapidly expanding gasses and the results were quite mystifying. There’s a lot of stuff out there that’ll stump me without adaptive equipment. So much stuff is right hand heavy to operate! This adaptive controller was a Father’s Day gift and has opened up something new for me to do with the kids. It’s incredibly easy to setup and use!

I am incomplete paraplegic and only have the use of my left arm not much dexterity in my wrist or fingers.... Much better than having to stare at the remote play app and stop some of my important game as I was not able to hold a button down and hit another button at the same time... This controller has allowed me to play a lot of games I haven't played in over a decade and modern renditions of the title as well... Very clean very adjustable modular for disabled or if you just want a customizable option to go with your other transmitters... Seems extremely durable feels very well and battery life is phenomenal (probably due to lack of haptic feedback dedicated touch panel or ability to install or have a second joystick that I know up so far) I have a game for 11 hours with it without charge and was still flashing on two bars. The ability to add for extra switches micro switches is a major advantage and I recommend getting the Logitech kit that comes with multiple switches for the price of sometimes one of them on other websites. Anyways highly recommended check it out for yourself!!!

I have muscular dystrophy with hand weakness. I just don’t like the circular design. I can reach the buttons on the bottom but the buttons on the top are a real struggle to reach. In addition, the buttons on the joystick are not that easy to press and are placed in an not too easy to reach odd position. I only kept it because the joystick is the best part about it. One massive draw back is that it’s not supported on PC and you can only use it for the PS5. I managed to get it working on PC by connecting to my Cronus zen. Overall, it feels like a rushed product with little thought put into it. I am very disappointed in this controller. Sony really missed the mark here.

you can NOT link the left and right sticks , if you could link them it would be great with out it its just hot trash , even trying to use a foot to control the stick and good hand on the dual sense ,the stick on the Access Controller pops off to easy

Sony gives you a slew of differently shaped buttons that you can customize and place however you want, plus an alternative joystick. It is priced the same as the DualSense. This is a world of difference from the Microsoft accessible controller which is twice as expensive as a regular controller AND requires a lot of expensive extras to be useful. I was extremely happy with everything Sony did with this controller where I had to struggle to get Microsoft to take theirs back.

The base is designed to be mounted to a wheelchair arm or other standardized bolt-on surface. It paired with no fuss and I was even able to use it on non-Sony game machines .

It could be used in tandem with a DualSense, so it could be used with a second person (I often have my partner do parts that are too hard for me) or it gives you the choice to pick which controller works best for what you're doing right now - you just put one down and pick up the other. I loved how much it did to reduce physical difficulties I have pressing buttons and holding the controller. That this is priced the same as a regular Sony controller is just astonishing. I did return mine because of an unexpected financial issue but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to disabled gamers or gamers with fatigue or even just who find a regular controller is awkward. Sony hit the sweet spot of price and function here. I just can't praise it enough; I would definitely get another one.

I have it set to return, and am a bit hesitant.

I would much prefer some preset setting options for the buttons and demos in videos of how this is put together and used.

There oddly aren't enough buttons to match the ps5 controller. The joystick is great and I can rest my hand/arm without lifting (disability/neck injury). but I will always be missing buttons. It seems I can double stack buttons and this is confusing. Not enough info with this probably great product.

Plus the symbols to attach to the buttons fall off. No extras.

I would have liked a number of example videos by Sony set up options in YouTube videos to help me speed through this.

Even more disappointing is that the vr is supposedly inclusive of accessibility, but there are no demos anywhere to try and if you buy in store you can't return. They want me to drop $800 cdn on the hope I can use it.

Future ideas: make it possible for people to play laying down with slight motions. Moving arms while laying down opens the doors to a lot (not all) disabled people.

I'm going to try really hard tomorrow ti spend more time with it, otherwise if I still struggle to use it I will keep my return request.

I suffered a stoke and my right side was paralyzed and i was hoping to get back into gaming I was gonna play with my left hand and my left foot, this controller is not meant for the foot it is cheap plastic so it ended up breaking and I didn't have for very long, the buttons would come off, the profile buttons will be pressed and the PlayStation button would be pressed to there is no way to disable it. And if you wanna order any additional things you have to order them as a package that is another $100 through Logitech . The $120.00 price tag is just taking advantage of people who have a disability. I am disappointed in Sony.
