This novel, as his others, was worth every hour of lost sleep.
I had wanted an advanced copy, but my PC had issues with its history, and couldn't send the reviews necessary.
I am not an author, publisher, nor editor; simply just an avid reader, and an expert in nothing..but
In my humble opinion...
A novel is only as good as its author.
A great author is original, extraordinarily clever, inclusive of life lesson topics, and can make the reader addicted to turn that next page.
The characters in Dan Sofers latest novel have passed away from natural and other causes.
Their family and friends have moved on.
And then they are brought back to life years and decades later. .
By whom, and for what reasons is this happening?
More and more people are re-appearing.
Can u pick up where you left off?
So many people have come back to life; that in of itself causes new kinds of issues and problems that eventually forms a new type of society.
Harder and different issues than those of their past; yet just how to deal with them in that newly created society which effects everyone.
Is there really a Messiah? Would you recognize who or what that is if you saw it?
Topics dealt with are recognizing - Are there really life lessons, would you live your life the same way if you were given a second chance, and where does religion play it's role these conundrums.
Is this rebirth in fact an opportunity for a second life, or a second chance?
The icing on my cake?? I was just notified that I won a hardback copy of An Accidental Messiah!!! So happy. Thank you Dan.
Unfortunately, the writing style is trite and the language is predictable. There seem to be many logical flaws.
