Accidental Neighbor: Single Dad Romance (The Gentlemen Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
A hot single dad.
A young workaholic.
One drunken hookup at a bar as strangers…
He moves in next door.
Thomas will do anything for his daughters. That includes the hard work of rebuilding their lives after his wife’s tragic death a year ago. But unrelenting grief and fear of suffering another loss keeps him from moving forward and embracing the possibility of love again.
Jennifer takes nothing for granted. She knows to get ahead at work; she has to work harder than everyone else and remain focused. Focusing would be a lot easier if Thomas wasn’t so irresistible, and her overprotective father wasn’t so disapproving of the romance.
With his heart and his daughters’ well-being at the forefront of his mind, will Thomas deny himself the opportunity to love again, or will he follow his heart and see where it leads?

Jennifer is 22 years old but is an old soul at heart. She likes to hang out at home and read, and watch movies and she LOVES children. Bar hopping is just not her thing but the gang drug her out for a celebration so here she is feeling awkward when her eyes land on a gorgeous big guy. His eyes are intensely watching her too. There is just something between these two. There’s a little hanky-panky then Thomas is gone.
Thomas is trying to make a new life for himself and the girls so they move to a new house and guess who lives next door with her parents?? AND… it turns out Jennifer also works at the daycare where his youngest daughter Rose is enrolled. Do I hear kismet?
Thomas is a perfect guy. He is gorgeous, takes care of his body, is smart and has a great job and is good to his staff, takes loving care of his daughters, and is a sex-machine. I don’t know about you but he is my dream gut. I like him very much. Jennifer is a sweet lady who’s a little insecure. She is a homebody and genuinely loves her family and she loves children. Tom and Jen make a wonderful couple. I also liked the support their families and friends gave them. THIS IS AN AWESOME READ. I must confess I read Book 2 Bossy Mr. Ward (which I LOVED) before this story which is book 1 and I knew of Thomas from that story. Linda
This book is a quick read book with a few steamy scenes and a lot of sweet and emotional scenes. I have to give this book a Serrano Pepper on the pepper scale, this book has explicit scenes but not to the point that my panties were melting, just enough to warm my blood and get me a little flustered.
The age gap in this book does play a significant role in this story. I enjoyed this book but felt like it was missing something, the problem is I can't put my finger on what it is. But this is the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 out of 5. I do believe that this is book that a lot of people would enjoy, but there are some things that might touch on triggers. There is loss and grief issues.
I hope this helps you find your next Tantalizing Tome!
I did miss more feelings, the story often cuts out the characters feelings and you're left confused to what they truly are feeling and the mood of their conversations. What annoyed me the most about the book, was the ending. It felt rushed and cut off, sure it was a happy ending in its own way, but, I would have liked to get a more wholesome and natural happy ending. Instead it felt rushed and not very impressing.
After reading the conclusion of this book I was left feeling empty and disappointed.
Which was sad since the story was good, up to a point.

How cliché is that!
Single parents are normal nowadays and there is nothing wrong with it!
