Jess has been having feelings for Alexa but the past has left a bad taste in his mouth. Everything is easy for him until he opens his email and reads what Alexa wrote.
Seems that things around the office will be getting hotter and more exciting for these two.
Jess is stunned by Alexa's sexy email--a year ago he was wrongfully accused of sexual harassment. So what does legal-repercussion-shy Jess do with the email? He hides it. Oh, and he kisses her.
And, there's an HEA.
See, the story follows the predictable path of most romances, only in micro-time. There were a lot of ways to make this story richer or bolder, but that didn't happen. It was short and kinda sexy. The writing is straight-forward with zero nuance and the characters read like they were freshmen in college, not college-educated professionals. I was, at times, flummoxed by the diction--how blood could pound through "every corpuscle" of a person's body was truly confusing, particularly as a body is composed of cells, and blood cells were (long ago) called corpuscles. Meh.
The author insults her readers doing this, and does her own writing no justice.

This is a very fast read that does end in a cliffy.
The story went by really fast, a good story of girl falls for boss.
Sex was quick at the end.Read more
