CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
When infiltrating a Castle or keep an Assassin would carry only the smallest of weapons so that they could easily be concealed. Small daggers coated in poison were a favored choice until the introduction of long-range weaponry. This dagger is modeled after small weapons that might have appeared during that era and is designed with concealment in mind. When housed in it's sheath it can be lashed to almost anything and measures only 11 inches long overall. The double edged stainless steel blade is sharpened to a factory edge with a subtle blood groove in the center. The entire dagger is accented with silver cast metal over a non-reflective black base. Measures 9 1/2 inches overall with a 5 1/4 inch blade, hard sheath included.

Now, I will say -- the bottom piece of metal came off from the sheath, but it didn't appear "broken". I think not enough adhesive was used. I re-attached it with a bit of hot glue on the inside, and bam, back in perfect order. I was not bothered by this and did not knock off a star for it, but you might. Even so though, this blade and sheath is of such gorgeous quality and design, that I am still enamored with it.
To the manufacturer, I recommend using some more adhesive to attach the metal to the sheath. Otherwise, keep doing what you're doing. It's awesome.
OH, and one more thing -- The blade fits snugly and perfectly into the sheath. Almost zero "wobble" is possible. This is a big factor for me, and I was super impressed by it.
All in all, it's good for the price. It's a cheap knife with some cool features and a nice looking design
Now a little negative feedback and the answer to the 4 out of 5 star rating.
I like the star shape pattern as I said but I do not like the plastic it is shaped on. Some kind of metal would have been nice but it's still pretty none the less. Also the handle (the black part) is the same plastic. That's all of the bad things in my oppinion. I know. Not much huh? Still I must detract 1 point.
I collect knives, daggers and swords as well as other things and as a collector I tend to make my purchases based on the looks of an item and not the actual plan of using it for some silly thing as (in this case being it's a dagger) throwing it at a wall or something. It may fall apart in that regard but as I will be keeping it on a shelf I believe it will hold together quite nicely for the rest of my lifetime. Overall I do recommend it.
Now a little technical stuff.
10 3/4" The over all length with the dagger in the sheath.
9 3/4" The dagger by itself.
6 1/4" The sheath by itself.
15/16" The width of the blade.

As for the attached chain, some people have complained about this accoutrement. I however find it a great addition to this piece and quite useful for carrying on one's belt. It beats spending the extra money on a dagger frog/holder. I quickly replaced said chain with a sturdier longer one for practical use. The chain that comes attached is a bit flimsy and short, but again can be easily replaced with little to no expense.
I wouldn't recommend using this dagger for any combat purposes with It being partially plastic and having a stainless steel blade, but for ceremonial, costume, or re-enactment purposes it fits the bill perfectly.
All in all, a quality piece indeed and for the price. You can't go wrong with this one. I may buy another one to have a matching set and one for my girlfriend.

The construction is about 90% cheap extruded plastic.
That means everything except the actual blade of the dagger is plastic.Read more
