I literally ate this book up. I got no rest and I regret nothing.
Let me start with Colt. He has always been in my top 3 book boyfriends and after reading this book he is tied for first. His devotion for Ry was present throughout the entire book. He was a man pushed against the wall, but still managed to fight not only for himself but for his family. You can literally feel him breaking apart but also building himself at the same time. I think we all expected his fears of being a father was going to be an issue, but then add the scandal, media, and Ry’s predicament and this was just a cluster of a lot of shoes dropping. But true to his word, he loved Ry with all that he had and he showed that.
Rylee! She has always been one of my favorite female lead characters, from her type A personality to her devotion to her boys. I have always respected Ry because she wasn’t naïve or a complainer. She faced what life thrown at her and became a stronger person. She never shy away from love, but always demanded respect, and I always admired how K. Bromberg created such a strong character. With that being said, Rylee goes through a lot and I mean a lot of stress and tribulations during this time. Rylee also goes through what a lot of mothers go through after having a baby, which is postpartum depression. I do not have any children, so I don’t know how that feels, but K. Bromberg’s description of Ry’s emotions and thoughts was done beautifully. I literally felt Rylee’s confusion, hurt, and inner demons coming to take over her. My heart broke for Rylee because all she wanted to do was be a great mother, wife and guardian for her boys and one by one it was being stripped from her.Read more ›
“This is marriage; being who you are while being what your partner needs when they need it the most. Stepping up while they need to step out.”
Their story is one that I could relate to on multiple levels, but particularly with Colton’s background. I appreciated seeing the way his ghosts reappeared and had to be fought through in Aced. When I had my daughter, I went through something very similar to his character. so It brought the story to life for me and made it feel that much more realistic. His emotions and his battles are ones I’ve fought, which allowed me to empathize with his character – which I don’t often get to do with the hero of a story.
“Parents give your their genes but don’t make the person you become.”
What excited me the most about Aced was the route that Bromberg chose to take Colton and Rylee’s story. With the way we fell in love with the couple, and the ups and downs of the first three books in the series, I think it would have been very easy to fall into a cotton candy love induced haze. She could have taken readers on the honeymoon phase and let that be that. However, I felt that Bromberg really did her readers justice with the release of Aced.Read more ›

The original story gave away too much for this stories ending. I felt I would have gotten so much more out of this if it wasn't for the tidbit of info from the epilogue. Read morePublished 3 days ago by Susan

I love Rylee and Colton but this book didn't do it for me. Rylee is such a strong heroine in the series and I felt she was just wishy washy in this one. Read morePublished 13 days ago by 3xachrm04

I was not happy how this book ended. I think the author wasted too much time on the scandal. For me it took away the great story that it had come to be.Published 21 days ago by MJ BookReader
