I bought mine at WalMart for $240 and what a great bang for the bucks. I've had no problems with videos or any other graphics and my installed Coral Graphics X4 runs without a hitch. Internet access is fast and browsing is quick and complete. This is not my AMD 10 quad core desktop, but the C60 processor in this is amazingly competent. And 3 USB slots and HDMI on top of that -the wow. Why in the world would you spend big bucks on something like a less capable device such as an ipad? Makes no sense - oh well my 2 cents worth :-)

Update Dec 04: Update: Since purchasing this model of the Aspire One I have now purchased (for $198 at Walmart) and am using the upgraded version running Win 8, the Aspire One 725-0687. It has a C70 processor instead of the C60 and has a 3.0 USB slot in addition to two USB 2.0 slots. Truth be told both models in my opinion are incredible values and amazingly fast and capable. Unlike tablets and such you can actually do lots of work with these - all now for $198 !!!! If you want to stick with Win 7 get the 722 model, but for Win 8 you'll have to get the 725 model. Both will blow your socks off for what you get for the price :-) Acer is leading the way with these!!

Update Jan 12, 2013: In the 20+ years I've been buying technology things this (Aspire One 725-0687) has been one of the best buys. It is is fast, versatile, and has far exceeded my wildest expectations. Every feature of it that I've used, be it the HDMI connection, 3.0 USB slot to transfer to my external 3.0 disk, or video playback, etc. has been more than impressive. And it hasn't met any of my software that it won't run (note: I'm not a game player). This little jewel could really be the answer to low priced, but quality, computing for the masses. All of this for $198, wow, wow, wow ........

The older Acers weren't upgradeable but this is easily upgradeable to 4mb if you want it to run faster. I have never had a problem with speed but I don't do a lot of gaming etc. on it. I surf the web, email and do LOTS of pictures on it. Also love the 7 hour battery and yes it really does last that long. As far as not having a cd drive, I bought an external one off the internet for $15 and it just plugs into the usb drive for the rare occasion that I need one.I am ordering me another one today as I am tired of sharing mine with the family. They always jump on mine as it is always up and running in the living room. It is soooo portable that it goes with me on every trip. It only weighs like three pounds and folds up to the size of a large book. Can't wait for my new laptop to come in!

I've had this for a few days now, and so far it is suitable for my needs. As a college student, I bought this netbook for simple class-related tasks: word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, note-taking, and Internet. I had previously browsed through a lot of smaller and less expensive netbooks, but this one had me sold on the following features:

+ Full-sized laptop keyboard--even with my child-sized hands, many netbook keyboards are too small and uncomfortable (this keyboard only took me one day to get used to)
+ 2GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory--most have only 1GB
+ 11.6" screen--bigger screen generally means less strain on the eyes, yet the netbook is still small enough to stuff into my backpack
+ 7 hr battery life--its 10.1" counterpart only averages 4hr
+ Genuine Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Edition--all the other netbooks provided only the trial version

So why only 4 stars?
- Webcam is only 0.3MP--same as its 10.1" counterpart (color/contrast sucks donkey balls)
- Microsoft Office Starter 2010 only includes reduced functionality versions of Word and Excel--that means no PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Access, Publisher, etc.
- Does not come with an owner's manual or recovery disks, which you have to make yourself...except you have no optical drive
- No "on/off" button for the touchpad like my laptop does, so every now and then when I type, I accidentally click something
- It's slower than my desktop and old laptops, but only by a split second or so--depending on what you're doing, sometimes it can be slower than usual

Overall, for $278 +tax (courtesy of WalMart), it's a pretty good buy. If you just need a portable computer for basic school work, I would definitely recommend this netbook.

This netbook is great value for you buck and features a HD Radeon to boot. It is a Dual-Core without all the Hyperthreaded Intel mess that was featured with their Atoms and performs faster because of it. I am running Windows 8 and with the 1366x768 resolution, I am now also able to snap and or open Metro apps which is a huge plus.

All in all, a great netbook that outperforms any Intel Atom, which is what this laptop replaces.

Great light laptop. Carries easy and is good on battery life too. This is my go-to unit when I need to Wi-Fi somewhere other than home. No squinting like the phone and I don't have to answer calls or sms in the middle of a job.

Bought off of Ebay for under $300.
It's been great. Can play my fave 3D games on it. Even the Sims 3 until it overheats a tad and shuts off.
This is the only known flaw I have. Other than that,it is quite speedy and does the job of a more expensive computer.
I love the dark red color and black. I even named mine RED FEDORA.
I love Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I may upgrade to Windows 8.
I also need a fan to rest it on when playing games. Most all I play work.
HDMI out is cool. It hooks up to my 32 inch tv just fine. The speakers on the netbook are kinda tinny but you can hook it up to a bigger stereo or speakers. It's bad this computer only has 4 reviews. It's a great machine.
