I love this monitor! It's the best deal out there right now. I was going to buy the asus 144hz monitor but they jacked the price up about 80 bucks for no reason, so I got mad and decided on this and I was not let down.

Okay it doesn't have g-sync but I put it next to my friends Asus Rog g-sync and couldn't tell the difference.

It doesn't have speakers but who uses crappy monitor speakers anyway.

Its really durable, I am constantly taking it to LAN at friends houses and leaving it in my car trunk bouncing around for days. No dead pixels, super dependable and easy to break down and put back in the box with all my other stuff for LAN-ing.

Switching to 144hz is the biggest noticeable improvement I have done to my computer short of upgrading video cards.
Buy this monitor and don't look back, use the money you saved to buy a nice head set or something.

HOLY COW This monitor is GREAT for the price. Having upgraded from a 60hz monitor to this one, the difference is NIGHT AND DAY! If you're having problems getting your OS to display it in 144Hz with this monitor, DO NOT USE THE HDMI, as it can only refresh at 60hz. to get the full 144 must use the DVI cable.

I would've started this review with 5 stars, but my experience with this product quickly detoriated.

The monitor at first is not bad. It's a good picture with great color quality at 144hz. However, it's like Acer designed a product that can't handle it's own power. If you look through the Amazon reviews, you'll see a consistent story of monitors overheating and going out. This monitor would probably do fine at 60hz, but when pushed to 144hz for too long, it breaks.

I started getting vertical colored lines about 6 months after having the monitor. From what I've read, this is an indicator of a failing monitor, and it's only a matter of time before it completely goes out. Fortunately, for me, it was still under warranty, so I paid Fedex $75 to have the monitor shipped back to Acer. However just getting to that point involves going through the Acer Customer Service hotline, and let me tell you, their customer service is an absolute joke! First, it's about a 50/50 chance that you'll get someone who even speaks English. From there, anticipate being put on hold after every sentence that you say. The one thing I'll give Acer credit for is honoring my warranty, but after the repairs were complete, they shipped it back to the wrong address! Getting that issue taken care of has been the biggest pain in the whole process. So far, I've talked to 4 different customer service reps and spent about 3 hours on hold over a 3 day period.

Save yourself the headaches and spend an extra $50 getting a reliable monitor that's even better quality. This one isn't worth it.

While this monitor does deliver vibrant colors for a budget price, there are some serious defects. It has lousy blacks, especially from an angle. If you're not directly in front of the monitor looking slightly down at it, you'll be very disappointed if you have a dark or black-based screen saver. The blues are a little hot but can be corrected with color and gamma balance, but it takes a slow and steady hand, even you're used to working with Acer's clunky interface.

I've used several other Acer monitors over the years and I will use them again, but not this model. It's the worst LED monitor I've ever purchased.

I would recommend that you stay clear of this monitor and continue shopping.

VERY Misleading about 144hz and Lightboost

NOTE that if you buy this monitor you will NOT be able to run at 144hz with a HDMI cable. They NEVER state this anywhere but I have tried every HDMI cable under the sun, adapters, custom settings in the Nvidia control panel etc. You will NOT get above 60hz over HDMI. If you are using a gaming laptop like me, HDMI might be your only option so you are stuck with 60hz out of a 144hz monitor. I was very upset since the big reason why I picked this monitor is because it was a 144hz monitor. NOWHERE do they state that 60hz is the best you can do on HDMI. I wouldn't be so mad if I got 120hz but couldn't get to 144hz, but this is very upsetting as its a HUGE difference between 144hz and 60hz.

DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO SAY YOU CAN GET 144HZ WITH THIS MONITOR WITH HDMI AS THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T OWN THIS MONITOR.

Also, there is no way for me to get Lightboost to work either.

The monitor is good quality for a 60hz monitor but I didn't buy a 60hz monitor!

VESA mounting is NOT an option!

I ordered this monitor expecting to be able to VESA mount it like every monitor and screen that's been made in the last 10 years, but no! If you DO want to VESA mount it, you'll need a third party add-on for $15-30 because they don't sell those on Amazon. Price wise, you may as well get a 24 inch monitor from almost any other manufacturer because it will be the same cost overall, and have built in VESA mounting available. When you do find a third party VESA mount, you'll find the power socket and DVI port on the back of the monitor are incredibly inconvenient and placed so that it is almost impossible to install cabling without extreme measures. Severely disappointing. I will NEVER buy another.

This is a nice budget LED monitor if you are looking for a cheap, quality monitor. It is a 21.5" monitor that has decent colour reproduction and is very clear. However, there are some flaws. The first is that you cannot adjust the height and the tilt of the monitor. I get that this is a upgraded feature, but without tilt, it makes the viewing angles bad at times. Secondly, there are no indicators of what the buttons at the bottom of the monitor do with the exception of the power button. Not a huge issue, but would like that so I don't have to refer to the user manual or online to find out what the buttons do. There are no vesa mount holes.

Also included in the box is a vga to vga, dvi to dvi cable, and a power brick to plug into an electrical outlet. For the price, this monitor cannot be mistaken.

Alright so i ordered this monitor with one day shipping and everything went well i got it in time so no problem here now for the good stuff:

First time booting this baby up i was suprised by how bright it was (way too much to be confortable) so i played with the menus for a good 5 mins to set it up properly (brightness and contrast wise).

to compare i have a 1080p 60hz led monitor in extended desktop mode right beside it. so after putting them on the same settings using the nvidia Control panel i imediately noticed a huge difference in fluidity.

the acer with the 144Hz refesh rate was way clearer and everything seemed much smoother to the eyes.

so after doing some gpu updates on my gtx 760 i booted CS:GO for some deathmatch and i noticed a big difference in how enemies behaved on my screen. movements were smoother brighter and the contrast of the acer mixed with the Nvidia settings made it much easier to spot enemies from afar. overall the monitor increases by a great deal the feel of the game coming from a 60 Hz monitor.

so far i am not regretting this product. the price is truly great for the quality you get.

some cons would be:

- not really ajustable. (wasnt really a problem for me)
- menu is a bit clunky ( but you wont have to use it much anyways )

so yeah, good shipping, good product, low price.

if you're looking for a good 144 Hz monitor without spending 400 $ this is it.

For the price they sell this screen it's amazing, you get 144hz and 1ms. If you have a wall mount or a desk mount for your screens this is definitely a great buy. If not, there's no option to ajust the height or/and angle of the screen so that can be annoying, specially that out of the box I thought it was angled to the back too much. The screen is also very bright out of the box, but you can fix that with the adjustments. But for the price you pay this screen is great.

CONS
1. Finicky inputs. Whether using HDMI or DVI, the ports on the back are very finicky. If your cable is not 100% at the perfect angle, or if you bump it and it moves a couple mm the screen will get all green and distorted and you have to spend 5 minutes adjusting the connection. I've tried with multiple cables. I've propped the cables up in the back and taped them to make sure they're the right angle. This should not be necessary.

2. If I open Netflix the monitor crashes completely and just shows static. If I close the Netflix tab the monitor returns to normal.

3. You cannot adjust the angle or height.

4. No Display Port.

5. First monitor came with a dead pixel, and was replaced by Amazon.
