See Gaming Differently
Acer KG241Q 23.6" monitor features Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) presenting stunning, high quality images with excellent detail that not only enhances users’ working efficiency, but creates outstanding visual enjoyment.
With AMD FreeSync, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor. This means the monitor’s frames are synced with the graphics card’s frames, which eliminates screen tearing and delivers very smooth gaming experiences.
A fast response time of 1ms enhances the in-game experience. No matter how fast-moving the action is, transitions are rendered smoothly without the annoying effects of smearing or ghosting.
Acer's large 23.6-inch flicker-less monitor eliminates annoying screen flicker, and provides a comfortable viewing experience, especially for those heavy monitor users, like programmers, writers, students or graphic designers.
Acer VisionCare technology incorporates several features that take into consideration prolonged usage by heavy users such as programmers, writers, and graphic designers to reduce eye strain and provides a more comfortable viewing experience.
Ergonomic & Friendly
Give your neck a break too; the ergonomic stand lets you find your most comfortable view with tilts from -5°- 15°.

+ Capable of being an amazing display.
+ 75hz is great for people that don't have high-end rigs that can reach 144+ fps.
+ Sleek design, minimally-sized bezel.
+ Quick and easy swapping between HDMI 1, HDMI 2, and VGA channels.
+ Great OSD.
- Terribly calibrated out of the box. It will need a little bit of TLC through the OSD. (Set color mode to SRGB, set "overdrive" to 0, set "black boost" to 0.)
- Seriously, disable the "overdrive" setting in the OSD under the "Gaming" tab. It's by far the worst thing anyone has ever created. That's the feature that is causing your monitor to have that really strange draggy, clippy effect.
- Stand is stuck at a standard height, but it can be tilted upward and downward. The stand is at a fairly decent height for most users, anyway.
- Absolutely horrendous internal speakers.
With amazing color (after re-calibration), 1080p @75hz, and sleek body-design, and cheap price, this monitor is easily comparable to my primary monitor which cost me $200. The only major difference between my $200 monitor is that it has a better internal speaker and extremely adjustable swivel stand.
This is an amazing monitor and while I have only had it a short time I absolutely love the price and quality of the monitor. It is a bit thicker than most monitors but it is a TN display. The difference between 60 and 144 is so noticable and feels great. Gaming is also fantastic. Smooth gameplay. Unless I have an issue in the future this rating stays at 5 stars! Also the monitor has built in FPS so you can check fps with xbox.
This monitor has a BUZZZZ. It comes from the power button on the monitor, when the monitor gets turned off the buzzing stops. I got a replacement monitor through amazon (Amazing customer service) and the buzzing is just a part of the monitor I guess. Not sure if I will keep it.
So lucky me I purchased the "Square Trade" insurance, you would think that I got lucky, it was only $5 or so. I then filed a claim on the Square Trade website and was truthful when submitting it, then at the end after submitting the claim, the claim was then closed stating I needed to get with the manufacture because it was under a year. So much for great service.
To make a long story short, Acer wanted me to pay to send it in for repair, at my cost, and was not satisfied that I had the original box to ship it in, they said that was not good enough, it had to be wrapped in at least 5" of bubble wrap. So if the original box was good enough to ship it to me when purchased why is it not good enough to send to them?
Square Trade stated they would pay for the shipping to Acer but I needed to get an estimate, really!
In conclusion, I would not buy this monitor or any high dollar electronics from Amazon and get the insurance. If it was purchased at Best Buy or Walmart I would have been home in a hour or so with a new monitor and never went thru this process. It is not worth all the time I spent on hold and chats (4 Hours) and still have to go get estimate, then chat again, then ship. It is just NOT worth it!
Edited since this review gets a lot of hits. We just bought a new replacement monitor locally. And we’ve never bought the useless Square Trade insurance again.
I bought this as a black friday deal for around $90. It is a 60hz monitor with 1ms response time. Right away I noticed an improvement in my gameplay as the response from my controller to the monitor was significantly faster than if I were playing on a TV.
The reason I say this is a monitor for causal gamers is because professionals would not use a monitor like this. They use 144hz monitors and have technologies I can’t even describe. But if you enjoy playing games like COD, BF1 or any shooter on console, I’d highly recommend this monitor.
No dead, stuck or floating pixels
Great color accuracy for the price point
Solid price point for response time and 75Hz
Decent connection options
Almost no bezel on the tops and sides
supports AMD free sync if you can use it
Alitter thicker for monitors built in power supply utilizing a standard 3 prong power cord ( kind of a pro but con because it makes this thicker than it could be
Viewing angles arent fantastic
Top reviews from other countries
75hz refresh rate difference is noticeable.Limited to the games you play though.
Color reproduction is good for lcd.
Reduce gamma and brightness from default values to retain vision.
Smooth tilt and viewing angle.
Bought for 11,299
One star removed because
Audio jack is a bit deep and the panel hinder L shaped connectors.
No height adjustment.
The response is quick the colours are amazing for a TN panel (even though the viewing angles aren't good) and you get 75hz refresh instead of 60hz like every other monitor. Even though it took me forever to figure out how to set it to 75hz on the NVidia control panel (the setting is all the way at the bottom on the resolution settings, thanks NVidia...).
So far the monitor hasn't given me any hiccups and if it continues to last, I may never need a new monitor until 4k gaming becomes cheaper and more mainstream.
-I have a bad lighting bleed on the left side... I would have returned it but I was lazy. I went a little crazy looking at it.. but it's really only noticable when looking at a black screen it's a circle that comes into the display about 2cm but..... I really can live with it since i got it on sale I'd rather put up with it then to have sent it back and waited another 2-4 weeks.
-Sleep mode Etc. is not supported on my NVIDIA video card until I did this most recent driver update late august.. kept going to a static screen until i updated my driver which required I unplug my HDMI and plug it back in for it to work again. (Nvidia 1660TI)
