I bought this computer late 2012, it was wonderful for couple months. Until one day in Feb or March 2013 computer just crashed. It shut down by itself and cannot be restarted. It was already pass the return policy for Amazon. I called Acer to try to fix the computer, they told me to either ship it back or bring to the closest Acer repair center. To save some shipping cost, I brought it to the repair center myself. It took about a week for them to repair it. After one week, I went and took it back home. I noticed everything was changed. All my office documents are gone (Understandable, they had to reinstall everything). However, the screen was flashing, computer shuts down by itself, and it won't let me use some of the programs including IE. It was terrible, so I called Acer again. I brought it back to Acer Repair center the second time. Another 2 weeks, I picked it up from the repair center and hoping it was fixed. BUT NO, NOTHING WAS FIXED! It's the same problems with the computer. I called again and brought it back to the repair shop. Back and forth until both Acer and I got annoyed.
In total I brought it back to repair center around 5~6 times, I complaint as much as I can to Acer customer service. They will not replace a new computer, nor will refund it. The last time I picked it up from the repair center, I just gave up. I suspect it was the video card or HDMI problems and It won't be fixed.
It is better than the first time computer crashed for sure, though I can barely use it except IE will constantly close the windows (especially when you are in the middle of writing an E-mail or office documents; I had to rewrite everything if I didn't save it), flashing a portion of screen when you scroll down (better than previously WHOLE SCREEN was flashing and unreadable. I had to constantly restart computer to get better function).
I am so scared to use it, I did not even bother trying to play any games on this desktop although it was suppose to be a gaming desktop.
Imaging driving 45mins over to repair store and back 5 times throughout the year 2013 without any problem being fixed. Waited 2 weeks for repair and nothing was fixed. I gave up in the end. I just use the laptop I bought from Amazon (Sony Vaio, excellent laptop, no problem and runs perfect) to do all my work. I only use this ACER desktop for very light use, e.g. browsing internet for news reading ...etc which my Ipad can do already except I am paying double the price for simple tasks.
I know Christmas is coming, that is why I am writing the review to try to save your $$$ with my experience. Trust me, you will be better off buying anything else, just not this desktop.
