4 stars due to some minor flaws, but don't let that stop you from considering this panel. Simply put, it's excellent! The colors are on point, many options for contrast and brightness adjustment, and it has the most screen real estate I've ever worked with on a single monitor. Yes, I know I'm singing its praise, but let me explain...
Pros:
1. G-Sync (silky smooth gaming)
2. IPS panel (Exceptional color coverage, 100% sRGB, 80% Adobe RGB)
3. Resolution, 3440 X 1440 (Tons of screen estate)
4. Speed (100Hz refresh rate + 4ms response time)
5. Stand adjustment options (height and tilt)
6. Heavy base (next to no wobble)
Cons:
1. The settings menu and buttons are clunky and confusing to navigate. (An IR sensor and remote would have been a nice solution for this, or at least helped.)
2. Flickering (only a very small amount on the first day, after all updates and a few tweaks, haven't experienced any since.)
3.Price.
I'm running an overclocked skylake processor, pushing about 4.6 on 4 cores, along with a single overclocked 1080 hybrid Pushing around 2100. I've tested several games such as Doom, Battlefield 1, and Overwatch, and I've had no problem so far pushing 100hz. My 1080 had no problems with ultra settings, but my CPU temps increased slightly, nothing too bad, but it does take a good Nvidia system to get the most out of this monitor.
As for light bleed, out of the box cord lengths, and base depth:
I made it completely dark in the room and left the monitor on a black lit screen (default, out of the box video settings)... next to no light bleed, so compared to the other reviewers who talk about bad light bleed, I may have got lucky with mine. Keep in mind that this is a recently produced panel vs what Acer might have been pumping out a few years back when production started, so the quality control could be better at this stage of production. After that, I adjusted the panels video settings to my liking and saw even less light bleed.
For the cord lengths, I've always had my self-built tower on my desk next to my monitors for easy access, so the cords that came in the box (DP, USB upstream, and others) had plenty of length to reach my tower. My desk is about 6ft in length and from the slack that's left over, I know that if I had my tower sitting on the floor on either side, I'd still have enough length to comfortably reach my tower, just to give you an idea.
Sitting at approximately 12" deep, the base takes up a lot of space on most desktops, so it might be a good idea to prepare your desk for it, maybe a compatible stand, or by extending the depth of your desk in some way like I did.
I did a lot of research before purchasing this monitor, so I knew what I was getting myself into when I placed the order. If you're considering it, just know that it has a few quarks, but IMO, the pros far outweigh the cons, and I have to say it's the best monitor I've ever owned!
Thanks for reading!

To say it all in a word it would probably be AMAZING!
If you are shopping for a new monitor, an upgrade or whatever the reason is, stop looking around and get this monitor!
I was using ACER's XB280HK for about a year now. This is Acer's earlier 4K monitor that has G-SYNC and it's 28" 21:9 format. It was a really good monitor. I fooled around with trying a 3 monitor setup with those but ended in frustration b/c with 3 of those side by side while using for regular computing or gaming, It caused a lot of strain on my eyes, and even would get a pretty bad headache and even nauseated when playing something like Battlefield 1. I'm not exactly sure why, it wasn't that I was dizzy or had vertigo, but it just didn't work. and lining them up right was a pain in the rear. So my conclusion was to go back to a single monitor but then I wanted a larger one that 28"
The answer is this Beauty. But it ended up more than just being bigger. I think that the image itself is a lot better. Perhaps I didn't have the right settings on my older one, but I sure did try to see if changing settings would improve it. It stayed really good, don't get me wrong, but when compared to this one, there's just no comparison. The Curve to the monitor is noticed but not intrusive or distortive. the "overclocked" 100Hz refresh rate does show improvement in gaming visual performance compared to my older Acer which could only do 60Hz max. I even think that the overall image is more detail on my old Acer at 3840x2160 resolution vs this one's resolution at 3440X1400 (which is how they can crack out the extra 40Hz to total 100Hz) but believe me that everything will look just as beautiful and only the extremely picky person might argue that the image is not as good. only because technically that is a correct statement but in reality it is not noticeable.
Well so much for a short Review. Once I got writing about it, I just could not stop. I could just go on even without getting too geeky technically. Now I have noticed that Acer now has a 32" version of my older monitor which is G-Sync and full 4K resolution at 3840x2160 but again limited to 60Hz. Also it looks like it runs about $300-400 more than this one. I think the choice is clear. save the cash!! get larger CURVED screen and better Hz refresh rate and you will just LOVE IT.
There is also a newer 38" almost full 4K curved monitor that can go at 75Hz BUT for me doesn't work b/c it comes with AMD's Freesync vs NVIDIA's G-SYNC. Since I have NVIDIA video cards I have to stick with G-SYNC. but interestingly enough is saw several well done reviews of it on YOUTUBE which casted some doubts in me about getting it. Even if I were to switch video cards to AMD brand.
Frequently I feel like I should not have spent this much money into something like this just because, even though I work hard for my $$$, there are also better things that I feel like I could have done with such $$$. This time, I don't feel like that one single bit. I am actually HAPPY to have done so.

PROS:
3440x1440 is a game changing experience and completely immersive
100Hz OC with no issues
Crosshair Function is hilariously cheating (Please use this function with caution)
In-monitor speakers are actually quite nice if you do not have a headset
Extra screen real estate is fantastic for both gaming and productivity
Stand is built with quality and will not budge if you bump into the panel itself
CONS:
Not all games supported in 3440x1440 (did not doc stars as this is not a panel issue)
OSD is difficult to get used too
Extremely pricey (If you're seriously reading this review then you already are aware of this)
I was debating on 4K however, with the price of 4K and the horse power you need to run perfect frames does not make sense at all right now. I highly recommend upgrading to Ultrawide 3440x1440, I promise you wont be disappointed!
Edit (June 25, 2018) - I am now on year 2.5 with this beast and still have not run into any issues at all. Very pleased and I hope everyone that has purchased this is experiencing the same feelings.
Taking advantage of G Sync at 95 Hz looks absolutely smooth as butter on a 1070, despite some titles such as BF1 only managing 60-70fps on ultra.
I did certainly consider returning this monitor in hopes of obtaining the revised x34a model, but I was unable to find that model anywhere in Canada.
Overall, I am highly satisfied with this product. Also, keep in mind that the built-in speakers are quite weak so you will need to use alternate audio peripherals.
I absolutely love the subdued design of the monitor. From the back it looks very unassuming and other than the Predator logo on the front, it really doesnt look like a gaming monitor. But holy Jesus, gaming on it is amazing.
I cant say enough about the jump from 1080-1440p especially in a 34" monitor. I doubt it would be as noticeable on a smaller monitor, but on this unit, every pixel shines. Most games support the 3440-1440p resolution, so I never feel like I am wasting real estate on screen. G-sync will even work in windowed mode, if thats your thing.
Having the extra width on the screen is a real show-stopper. Playing anything from Wolfenstein to Xcom, to GTA V, that extra 3" on each side of the screen really makes me wonder how I lived without it. GTA V in particular is amazing. I love how I can see intersections so much easier, and flying around gives you a wonderful sense of scale.
Maybe you dont want to spend $1300-$1500 on a monitor, which is fine. But if you are a gaming enthusiast with more money than common sense, this is possibly the best upgrade you can do for your setup.
The RMA went well though and we'll see if their replacment of the G-sync board lasts. The premium price does have the added benefit of premium service with paid shipping both ways. I recommend saving the box because it's comepletly assembled! You'll have a tough time packing it for an RMA otherwise.
