Poor Monitor design flaw you experience within 2 years of purchase.

The media could not be loaded.

The monitor is great when it works: This monitor is known to have a bad panel that Acer Refuses to fix: Within 2 years of purchase date G-Sync will cease to function correctly, causing a flashing black screen. Disabling G-Sync fixes the issue, but like many others here, I didn't pay $400 to not use G-Sync:

Acer will not pay for you to ship the monitor to them, they will only pay to ship it back to you.

I gave this monitor a good review, but that was under the assumption it was a working product and didn't have any design flaws. And here I wanted to buy 2 more of these monitors for a 3 monitor setup. I'm so glad I didn't.

Love 144Hz and 1ms (But Have Complaints)

This is my first G-sync monitor (paired with my GTX 1080) and first monitor with a high refresh rate. Going from a 60Hz to 144Hz and 1ms response time completely blew my mind on what liquid smooth gameplay is like! I'm playing Battlefield 1 on Ultra with just gorgeous, buttery action. I never knew it could be this good.

Having said that, I have complaints about my specific monitor, which is why I'm docking two stars. There is noticeable light bleeding through edges of the screen. It's enough so the black looks cloudy. There's also clouding across the center. On nice, colorful images, I don't notice it, but if I'm playing or viewing something dark, it is quite noticeable. I tried to snap a picture, but the phone couldn't capture it appropriately.

The longer I use the monitor, the more this cloudy black across the center and edges annoys me. It might be a defective monitor.

If you are on the fence, buy it! For the first time I went kind of "all in" with a desktop gaming computer. I got a 7700k and gtx 1080 8gb with 32gb of ram. I started playing on my original asus 1ms 60hz monitor that I've had since 2014. The games were beautiful and performed well over 60fps. Well, I wanted to take advantage of that. So I did a lot of research. I was about to drop $499 on Dell's 2k 1ms gsync monitor. But then I realized I didn't want to play in 2k since that would impact my fps in a negative way.

So I finally started digging in the 1080 144hz gsync options. I was afraid going from 27 inches to 24 inches would hurt, but 24 inches is actually the perfect size for a gaming monitor imo!

So being a noob, I followed instructions, set my monitor to 144hz, and booted up overwatch (which I usually get around 120fps on ultra). Started playing and was like "Ehhhh I guess it looks good, but I don't really see the difference." Then I finally realized (like I said, Im a noob at this), you needed to change the settings in game for 144hz. When I did that, man I was blown away. Instantly saw the difference jumping from 60hz to 144hz. The clarity is REAL, Gsync is REAL. Such smooth gameplay that I have been missing out on playing in the console world for so long. I'm never going back!
I also played bf4 and PUBG on this and it is a beautiful experience. I can't emphasize enough how awesome it feels gaming on this level.

To be honest, I have never experienced 2k or 4k gaming. But I would much rather prefer playing 120+fps on 144hz 1080p monitor with ultra settings. Than to have to dumb down my graphics to achieve high fps on a 2k or 4k monitor.

The stand is super high quality with a nice red finish. The monitor itself is super solid.

Cons: The speakers are laughably quiet, but I use headphones anyways lol.

I was excited to get this monitor based on the specs, unfortunately had to return it.

+ High refresh rate
+ G-Sync
+ ULMB

- 120Hz (looks fine), 144Hz (slightly noticeable scan line), 180Hz (noticeable scanline).
- Slight shake on table especially moving mouse around causes monitor/mount to shake. (lightweight).

I missed out on a 240Hz monitor sale so I went ahead and said to myself I can stick with 180Hz since I only have a 1070 on my laptop. Ended up returning this and coughed up the extra $100 for a 240Hz G-Sync panel. When set to 120Hz it looks fine, set it to 144Hz you start to see slight scan line, it'll be fine but its there, panel would disconnect randomly and/or flicker. At 180Hz the monitor would have noticeable scan line. Tried everything from different displayport to different driver/settings, even different wall sockets/separate from laptop power supply etc.. When viewing images and other videos the scan line was there and really annoying. Told myself hey I may be only paying $340 but I'm not satisfied so I went ahead to return this for a true native 240Hz G-Sync monitor. This felt like a native 120Hz monitor overclocked to 144Hz overclocked to 180Hz lol.

This is a great looking monitor for a TN panel. The refresh rate is awesome (as expected) and the color quality is actually better than I expected for this type of panel. The blacks are plenty black, and the brightness is on point.

G-sync is a real game-changer as well. I find I'm worrying less about framerate because this panel transitions seamlessly to match what the video card is putting out. There's no screen tearing or Vsync mouse-lag any more. Just make sure you configure the Nvidia software and your games properly because they often don't work properly out of the box.

I bought this monitor simply because I wanted to try out GSYNC. It works as advertised. However, I've given this (24" Full HD model) a 3/5 for a few reasons. Firstly, in comparison to my MSI Optix g27c, this monitor seems to have poorer color quality. The MSI monitor is about $100 cheaper (Freesync rather than GSYNC). I've spent quite a lot of time playing with color settings, but I can't seem to make it look as good as the other - was quite dissapointed. I do like the 24" size, great for gaming on a desk. But overall, it gets the job done, and GSYNC is worth the money. In hindsight, I would've bought the UHD model.

I managed to get this beauty on sale. It came a day early, no dead pixels, packaging was a little dusty but no dents, cuts, holes etc. It came with an HDMI and a display port, easy to adjust and the picture quality is top notch for a TN panel, I didn't have to adjust any settings on it. It says it can be overclocked to 185hz but I haven't tried it yet. While it's a pretty expensive 1080p monitor it has G-sync, and has 144hz refresh rate. It looks amazing and was worth every penny. If you are looking for a 1080p G-sync display look no further!

Great monitor, no issues at all, but the built in crosshairs options are garbage. There is a bunch of huge clunky crosshairs that no one would ever use and not just a simple 4 pixel dot which 99.999999% of gamers use. There should have been an option for it.

Other then that, I love it, but I wouldn't buy it again unless they added a dot to the built in crosshair options.
