There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
Amazon has stated they will attempt to resolve this once I obtain a certified letter from acer noting the warranty is being rejected.
1- Extreme Overdrive does not work. All you need to know is, that the response times will go from 4MS to 8-10MS response time when this feature cannot be enabled, as stated before by another knowledgeable purchaser. This is not a total deal breaker, but it’s close.
2- Between 30 to 40 vertical lines would randomly appear on the monitor. The only way to get rid of them, was to unplug the monitor.
3- While watching movies online, Netflix etc., the monitor would flicker on and off.
When I had the first issue with ghosting and blurring in games I contacted Acer Support. They were of no help whatsoever. I ended up going back to Amazon reviews to get the answer. I had the Acer Supervisor call, since Acer Tech Support was of no help, before I discovered what the issue was. I told him that I was willing to live with the defect, but if anything, else would arise, I wanting to be sure Acer would exchange or Refund the purchase price. He said there wouldn’t be a problem. A few days later, all the other issues surfaced, and I called Acer Support once again. I told them what issues I was having, and I wanted to return the monitor and for them to honor their agreement stated by the supervisor. They said the supervisor never stated the information, and Acer by policy does not refund or exchange their products, rarely, if ever. I’ve read the experiences a lot of dissatisfied customers, with the repair process. They would send the product into Acer, just to receive it back unrepaired or in worse condition. I was unwilling to go through the process, and end up with a monitor in the repair shop, added shipping costs, and eventually running out of a warrantee. If you doubt what I say, just Google customer Complaints Acer Products.
In the end, it comes down to this. It’s your hard-earned money. This monitor is expensive, so one would expect a top-quality product, with excellent customer service. None of which I got from Acer.
Amazon was kind enough to extend their 30day grace period, so I could return this monitor.
I will be purchasing another monitor, but not an Acer brand. They’ve lost my business. Read the warrantee, and research the companies. Buyer Beware.
I came from a BenQ 24" TN 144Hz Gsync, 1ms. I saw a friends 32 inch 4k ISP and loved the color and size however the 60Hz wasn't going to cut it. So I did some research and decided on this one. Honestly, the 4 ms refresh even at 164 Hz with Gsync isn't quite as silky smooth as the 1ms BenQ however overall I am happy with it. The size and slight curve is an immediate plus. I have vision troubles it definitely reduces straining to focus. The colors are brighter with than the TN. The higher resolution is nice however it is kind of a wash from 1080p due to the larger screen.
I have not found any dead pixels and the monitor was in perfect cosmetic condition.
I played some World of Tanks and the game felt just as smooth and crisp as my 24 bq The only slow down occurring in sniper view. But lowering a few settings in sniper view graphics compensated for it.
Happy with my purchase so far.
New entry: After several months of using this monitor, I've had no issues. Still very happy with the purchase. Would not go back.
A few notes:
This monitor has a downward firing LED built into the bottom of the panel. The color, brightness, pattern can all be changed via the OSD. I was pleasantly surprised by this feature as I did not see it advertised anywhere prior to making my purchase.
There is no documentation provided on how to access the VESA 100x100 mount on the back, as it is blocked by molded plastic covers. After much trial and error, I found that the covers can be removed by carefully lifting the narrow, bottom part of the cover upwards and then out towards me. After I did this the rest of the cover would just pop out.
As not many people seem to own this monitor yet, I have not been able to see how it looks with a proper calibration profile applied. Hopefully someone with the proper tools will buy one and provide some calibration settings to try.

with plethora of ultrawides available,Acer predator holds a sweetspot for money and performance. comes with gsync which is helpful if u own a Nvidia gpu (gtx1080ti or above). u need seious horspower out of ur pc to get qhd resolution with frame rates above 60fps.
1. ultrawide 34inches 21:9 aspect ratio: increases ur filed of view in games, extra screen space for ur productivity, and most movies are shot in this aspect ratio, will give u a cinema like pleasure which can b uplifted even more with ambient lights
2. 100hz standard refresh rate and can go upto 120hz (a big jump for people like me who were used to playing a 50-60fps)
3. ips panel- great colour accuracy, 4MS RESPONSE TIME time gr8 for fps shooters
4. Nvidia gsync for tear free ultrasmooth gaming
5. 4usb 3.0ports for connecting all ur peripherals and obviously comes with hdmi and displayport(necessary for g sync, gsync wont work on hdmi)
6. height adjustment, swivel and tilt available
7. sturdy brushed metal stand
8. matte finished back, so its classy and does not catch fingerprints as a glossy surface do.
9. led lights for that ambient look
10. comes with joystick behind the monitor to easily toggle bw OSD functions and 3 dedicated keys customisable to brightness, mode etc
11. bezellLESS design(almost: there is a thin bezzel present on the sides but with one screen setup its hardly noticed)and minimalist predator logo to keep it classy and gorgeous
12. decent inbuilt speakers with moderate bass( as far as inbuilt monitor speakers are concerned)
13. last but not the least its CURVED: 1900R is moRE Pronounced than its predecessors with 3800R. in short the wrap around feel and imerrsiveness taken to new levels
1. large stand so need u r gna need a bigger desk
2. need a seriously powerful pc to match the output of this monitor
3. lil pricey but considering the cost of ASUS ROG pg34 which is around 1.4laks its a pretty gr8 monitor
after 10months of extensive use for gaming i can say that this is the best montior i have had till date. gaming has never been better
ultrawide is a marvelous experience which can only b appreciated in person. no amount of reviews or youtube videos will ever come close to experiencing one in front of u. so if u can explore an ultrawide at a local store go for it. but if not and you can afford one, dont look for more , acer predator x34p is the best there is in this price range better than its predecessors and still dominating the gaming world even after a long time post its release.
Flickers. Cable changes don't help.
Approximately once every 3 weeks, At any setting, monitor wont wake from sleep - it displays "no signal" with included display-port cable, and aftermarket cable. Neither Powering up and down, nor switching inputs helps. Have to incompletely disconnect from power and wait for capacitor discharge several times, plug it back in, and change input back and forth several times to get monitor to function again. Windows 10 Pro, Up to Date. 9700k on a premium Gigabyte Designare motherboard. This occurs even if i set windows to keep monitor on.
Monitor occasionally gets very hot.
First time i ordered it, the package never showed up. Tracking information never updated. After months and several calls and texts amazon eventually shipped a second, which arrived in its manufacturer box, identifying it to the world. Opened the box which was factory sealed, and there was a loose SCREWDRIVER in the box. No joke. Problems occurred a month after recieving. Cant return it. Very disappointed.
Overclocking to 120hz sounds good on paper, but be aware that this monitor (as well as the similar Alienware model) have an issue with instability when overclocked to 120hz. Flickering is a very common problem people report with these monitors, and I myself have experienced the flickering problem.
I reduced the overclock to 115hz refresh rate, and the flickering has gone away for the time being. I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if it stays that way, and if I have to lower it any more, I think I'll RMA the monitor.
Luckily my monitor has no dead/stuck pixels, and backlight bleed is very minimal. Just at the bottom corners.
For the price of this monitor though, none of those things should be an issue period.
All of the monitors that shipped to me suffered from the same issue , Dead Pixels. When you are paying this kind of money for a monitor , defects are inexcusable. It is a shame because I really liked the feature set of this product. The build of the stand is super beefy and stable.
