cons:
-the speakers are awful !
-im not a fan of those gaps between the keys. (i hope i will get used to it...)
-dont have media control keys (pause,play,forward, backward)
annoying minor design flaws:
-the headphone jack in the right side, insted of being the left side. (in all of the headphones the cable comes from the left side...)
-the power indicator is not the same side as the power cable.

pros:
-fantastic screen. (not suitable for fast pace games)
-good battery.
-10th gen, ddr4, thunderbolt 3.
-lightweight. (1.2kg !!!)
-solid keyboard. (not flexiable at all)
-good heat distribution.
-the laptop looks premium (but not top tier premium...)

Why the low rating for this laptop? I've owned many laptops and if you are thinking about this one, read this first and decide if you want to deal with this issue... Backlit keyboard has no option to keep lighting on all the time. Read the various user forums and you will see lots of complaints about what seems like a simple request, but Acer continues to ignore. Instead the lighting for your keyboard will go off automatically after about 10 seconds without any ability to change the auto timeout feature. Why? Guessing their software development team doesn't have what it takes to change. Do they not do any type of user testing to see what users actually want?

I ordered two of these for work. They were supposed to be Windows 10 pro according to the labeling I clicked, but they were the home version when they arrived. They are great little units and work well. The screen res is fantastic. Instead of returning them for the 10 Pro version, I ended up giving them to a couple of other employees as they didn't really need the Pro version and they're doing fine. If you need the Pro version, just be careful what you click. I think there may have been a labeling issue on the product page.

I like this computer. It looks good. It is lightweight. I was surprised when I picked it up. The keyboard is good. I don't care much about lighted keyboards, but this one (the 14" i5 8gb 256gb) has one. The screen is not the brightest and the speakers aren't the loudest. This seems to be a thing with Acer. The screen looks sharp. It is fast enough for me.

Ordered this computer and it took over two weeks to receive it. Then I have only had two weeks to use it and it doesn't work already. Not sure what the issue is, but the customer service lady kept interrupting me every time I tried to ask or answer a question. Had to call 4 times before they finally decided that I needed a recovery disk which will take 5-10 days to receive. Am seriously thinking of just purchasing a different computer from a different company as they refuse to overnight the recovery disk and like most people these days, need my computer. Just don't even bother purchasing this item, find a different computer at a different company if you want any kind of usable product and better customer service. Very disappointed!

Does everything you'd want out of a thin and light. Has a pen I don't really use, but stores nice in the body. I can run excel spreadsheets and surf the web, and with the thunderbolt 3 ports, I can hook up to a egpu (2070 in a razer) and game on my ultra wide monitor with decent frame rates.

My only issue is that the laptop came damaged. where the screen hinges, there is a metal piece that is misshapen and damaged and protrudes from the hinge. I am hoping to hear back and get either a credit or an entire device replacement. As great as the laptop is, when spending this much money, products should arrive in perfect condition.
