Product Description

The Acorn Womens Sheepskin Moxie Bootie Slippers - Pumpkin are so cute they could have been made by the Great Pumpkin himself.. The classic look of a leather moccasin never goes out of style. Durable suede uppers and genuine sheepskin lining make these the most comfortable slipper you'll ever own. About Acorn Acorn was founded in 1976 by David Quinn, creator of the original Slipper Sock. The Slipper Sock, one of Acorn's earliest products, was based on Quinn's memories of ski vacations as a child and the old-fashioned slippers they wore in the cabins. Since those days, the Acorn company has become known for indoor and outdoor footwear that's as technologically advanced as it is soothing and cozy. Since its humble beginnings, Acorn has held strong to Quinn's original goal: to provide comfort to the world, one pair of feet at a time. Their commitment to comfort and satisfaction has led them through a wide array of designs and wonderful choices for consumers who care about the state of their feet ... and those of their loved ones. Hand sewn moccasin construction in orange. Soft and comfort cushion insole. Durable suede uppers with fully lined in genuine sheepskin. Skid-resistant rubber drive outsole. Choose from various sizes.

Fight the chill in Acorn's Sheepskin Moxie slipper. This pull-on in leather is equipped with a shearling lining for premium warmth while rawhide laces and a contrast-stitched moc toe offer traditionally rustic details that pair well with cold nights. A grippy outdoor sole proves perfect on slippery floors or when stepping out to pay the pizza guy.

I bought these to wear as driving & errand-running shoes, not house slippers. I am so thrilled the shoe designers included a driver's heel! I really like it as a style element, but it is extremely functional, keeping the leather heels from becoming dirty or damaged.
These look so amazing with skinny jeans, but if you unfold them, they also work with bootcut.
I wear a size 8 in any style of shoe, so with shearling boots & slippers, I usually buy a 7 so they will stretch over time. Because other reviewers said these run small, I decided to buy the size 8. With bare feet they are still pretty snug, which is PERFECT! With wear the fleece will begin to form to my feet, & the leather will stretch a bit. I believe that like most shearling slippers & boots, after about a year of constant wear, they will be better suited to wear with socks. These are extremely well made, so I expect these to last at least 2 years with constant wear before they become strictly house slippers.
The black leather is a deep, true black, which is a beautiful contrast to the light, cream coloured fleece. Normally, I would have preferred the lace to match the leather, but I actually kind of like the rustic, moccasin-look of the deep brown lace. I'm waiting for the grey to go on sale before I buy those, too!
Like other reviewers have stated, there is no padded insole. I agree this is a bummer, but I have been unable to find a pair of slippers or "Ugg-style" boots that have adequate arch support. My solution is to wait until the shearling footbed liner is old enough to be removed, add whatever padded insole I need & place a new shearling footbed liner on top of the insole.

I typically do not write reviews on the items purchased through amazon, but need to review this bootie. We gave this slipper to my daughter as a Christmas present and just visited her to find out that after wearing it indoors for a few weeks after christmas that the top part of the bootie ripped. I thought I had ordered this from Zappos so I took the bootie with me and I was going to work on exchanging it when I remembered that I bought it from amazon. Amazons return policy is only good for 2 months. The bootie itself is very warm and my daughter loved it, but the stitching ripped out after very little use. These slippers are very expensive for a house slipper and the craftsmanship on the pair she received is very very poor. Do NOT buy this shoe or if you do buy it from somewhere (like Zappos) where they can be exchanged if this happens to you.

I was very pleased with these slippers at first, they are warm and soft. However, after 2 months of indoor only wear they began to fall apart at the heel. Now 4 months later the back of the heel has separated, with the suede having torn up the back, and the insoles are coming apart and give me blisters if I wear them without socks. Not happy, especially considering how much they cost.

Too snug. What I want from a slipper is comfort. Although the fit was 'accurate', it felt like I was wearing a snug shoe.
Well made, beautiful to look at, high-end quality. I returned them however due to it feeling like a shoe than a comfy slipper.

Once I put these shoes on I didn't want to take them off. They are so comfortably cozy and toasty warm. The next day I immediately took them to my shoe repair man and had him put on a sturdier sole, because I plan to wear these a lot and outdoors. I think the sole it comes with will hold up very well if only worn indoors. After dropping them off at the shoe repair I went online and ordered a second pair. The first pair I ordered are stone which is a very nice neutral color, great with jeans and the second pair are in black. I'm going to wear the black with tights and a skirt. I normally wear a size 8.5 but since these run in whole sizes I ordered an 8. The 8 was a good choice, they fit snug but comfortable, and as the manufacturer states they will conform to your foot. I love these moccasins!

I had these slippers for 2 months, and during that time I was on vacation for 2 weeks so they were really in use for 6 weeks when the sticking around the top started coming apart. I put them on to find a gaping 1.5 inch hole. So, they were warm and comfortable, although a little small in sizing. But the quality seems to be severely lacking. I would not buy this brand again.

Just got these last week and I am loving them. I usually take an 8 or 8 1/2, so I got a pair in 8 and they are perfect. They're supposed to be a little snug at first (not tight though) while the sherpa starts to conform to your feet.

My feet tend to get cold easily, but these slippers are so warm I don't even need to wear socks with them. There is a 1/8" thick grid of sole protection/nonskid protruding from the sheepskin bottom that which should prolong their life and also make short excursions outside possible. There is also a stiff inner sole -possibly an extension of the same outer material - which is just supple enough for ease of movement but stiff enough to feel supportive.

The sherpa lining is so plush and warm. These seem to be very well made.

Throughout the years I have often been disappointed with slippers - either they stretch out too much, or they're slippery, or the seams tear, etc. I anticipate these slippers will keep my feet happy for quite a long time. I am most pleased!

Update: 3/8/14 - they're still awesome. no complaints.
