How To Use:
1.Install 1 x AA battery in the compartment
2.Turn on the device by holding the handle with the tip up and pressing the lower half of the black toggle button.The number 1 should appear on the display.Repeat to increase power up to 9.
3.Put a small amount of contact gel on your inside wrist.
4.Starting with the device on a medium low setting,firmly press the tip to the wrist.If you do not feel anything at first,slide the tip around the general area until you feel the pulsing sensation.If you still do not feel anything,click the button to a higher setting.
5.If you feel a stinging sensation it is because there is not asolid connection from the tip to your skin.Use more contact gel to fix the problem.
6.Continue sliding the tip around until you feel a strong pulse.When the pulse is strong it means you have found an acupoint and you are stimulating it.You may hold the acupointer directly on the point or gently massage the point.

Fire hazard - beware or be toast

I was very much looking forward to trying this item and was hoping some of the reviews were isolated incidents. As mentioned by others, putting the cap on after inserting the battery is a lesson in patience. After managing to get it screwed on, the pen did not turn on. The battery end was getting increasingly warm then hot to the touch. I unscrewed the and and tried to remove the battery but it was too hot to hold. Mind you, this is after just a couple of minutes after I put it in. The exterior of the battery was starting to blister so I have to believe something bad would have happened had I left it unattended. I tried it again with another new battery with the same result. It might make a great cigarette lighter but it's not a good acupuncture pen.

Easy to use. The people who posted negative things about the ability to put the battery in must be mechanically challenged. It does take some maneuvering of the spring in the cap to make sure it's collapsing in the middle and not off to the side, but it just takes a little patience to make sure it's situated correctly. I used it with a YouTube video giving directions on how to use it for the Vagus Nerve and it removed my headache immediately.

I really like this little gadget. A lady I work with was having shoulder problems so I took one to her to try out. Another person saw it and said it is very similar to the gadget her chiropractor uses. My daughter-in-law tried mine on her leg where it was painful and she was so pleased that I ended up leaving it with her. I have given away two, so I need to order more. For something so inexpensive, it is great. The power level goes up to a "9" but I absolutely cannot stand it any higher than a "4" and I have a fairly strong tolerance for pain. In my opinion, this little pen magnet can't be beat.

Simply made filler with short piece of PEX tubing and whittled down with file/rasp til battery compartment was snug Held AAA in perfect alignment. For people complaining of shock at hand or feeling nothing YOU ARE NOT MAKING GOOD GROUND with your hand. apply small amount of gel to fingers and WHEN you make a good ground the shock or tingle will stop.You have to actively search for meridian point. Charts can get you close to general area then simply move around til you find the spot. Anywhere from tingle to moderate muscle twitch or spasm. Gel tends to build up in hole of spherical tip overtime. Cleaning with pin, q-tips, etc brought it back like NEW. Play around with it, you will be surprised.

This is an awesome idea. I know firsthand this therapy works. But, this wand came defective. Instructions show picture of double “A’ battery, while small print instructions says use “AAA” battery. Double A is too long, and triple A is not big enough to stay in place in case to make connection. I returned product for refund and ordered another brand of wand. The instrument my doctor uses is out of stock. I will order it soon as it becomes available.

Many years ago a local Acupuncture and Acupressure Dr. used a device on me much similar although his was larger and required an Electrical source, Time have changed, This little Gem is wonderful. It does find the meridian point ( you will know on say 2 when you hit one ) and you will get a shock in the user hand as this device uses you body as a ground so just adjust your grip and the pain in the holding hand should stop.

Now I own 2 of these and it is in my opinion the best 15.00 you will spend. This device will cure the hurts, It does not do it like magic but it makes those points take notice that there is a New Sheriff in Town and he ain't playing.
This type of device has been around a long time and I am glad to see it in a smaller manageable style.

Absolute junk. The tip barely screwed on due to cheap thread. The battery case didn't screw on and stay on at all the thread simply disintegrated. Even when holding the case closed it would not turn on and stay on all the time. It's a shame. The idea seems pretty good. The implementation is terrible.
