About the Author
Pepper Pace creates a unique brand of Interracial/multicultural erotic romance. While her stories span the gamut from humorous to heartfelt, the common theme is crossing racial boundaries. The author is comfortable in dealing with situations that are often times considered taboo. Readers find themselves questioning their own sense of right and wrong, attraction and desire. The author believes that an erotic romance should first begin with romance and only then does she offers a look behind the closed doors to the passion. Pepper Pace lives in Cincinnati, Ohio where many of her stories take place. She writes in the genres of science fiction, youth, horror, urban lit and poetry. She is a member of several online role-playing groups and hosts several blogs. In addition to writing, the author is also an artist, an introverted recluse, a self proclaimed empath and a foodie. Pepper Pace can be contacted at her blog, Writing Feedback:

The pros: The amazing storyline.
The issues surrounding the main characters (Carmella and Bilal) are interesting to say the least. Carmella is a woman who has lost everything (her husband, her toddler son, relatives and friends due to the Centaurian species. Earthlings have been removed from Earth and taken to another planet called Earth 2. Can Carmella forgive the Centaurians for chaos they have caused? Can she look beyond the hatred and see Bilal as an individual especially after he does the unthinkable?
Bilal was a born on the mothership. His views do not reflect those of his race. He identifies with the humans and sees them as friends and equals. He experiments with mind altering plants, is an explorer and craves the this that humans have. After inadvertently coming in contact with Carmella he does the unthinkable. Can Carmella, Raj, Lawrence, his parents and his race forgive him in the end? Will Bilal be able to stay with Carmella and Raj on Earth?
The cons: This story does have some spelling errors. I however was willing to overlook them due to beautiful story unfolding before my eyes.
Pace as always draws you into her world with her excellent writing skills however I was surprised to see so many "typos". None the less it didn't take away from the story, I enjoyed Adaptation because I enjoy science fiction and I'm always thrilled to read something unique and fresh. However if you are expecting a typical IR romance this isn't it. Pace really goes outside of the box and writes a true scifi story. If I were writing this story my aliens would look and behave quite differently but this is Pace's creation so if you allow yourself to accept her ideas, these aliens and their world, you will truly enjoy the story. I'm looking forward to the next installment!
