This product does everything it should for a reasonable price. I purchased many of these for our school to use and only ran into a problem with two of them after continuous use. Since they offer a lifetime warranty, I contacted their customer service and they were able to ship me replacements. I sent them a picture of the defect and details about what I did to test the error, and it only took about a week to get new ones. I recommend getting these as they have been a great resource to have.

REVISED: Customer service reached out to me immediately and offered to replace the adaptor. however, after trying the apple adaptor, I have realized with Apple support that there is a problem with the 2020 MacBook Air m1 speaking with the LG oled tvs.

I changed my review to 4 stars because of the good customer service from uni.

I bought this because I was borrowing one and wanted to have my own. I carried it back and forth to work and didn't need it until today. I plugged it in and suddenly my screen was flickering. I unplugged and tried again. Same thing. Called the IT guy and he came down, tried it and he said it was defective. The return window closed in mid-March. So I paid for a defective item and there is no recourse. That's wrong.

The manufacturer reached out to replace the defective adapter because the original would render a black screen shortly after connecting. The replacement device works correctly, even after the power-saving blanks the screen, Windows 11 (Surface Studio Laptop, I7/32GBRAM/2TBHDD) is able to toggle the monitor back on at the same time that the native display wakes. And so, in a nutshell, the new adapter works properly.

Apple mac mini doesn't support other companies making adopters; this product will never stay working for the mac mini 2020 M1 The screen will eventually start staying black and you'll have to unplug it and replug it into work. this product is great but Apple doesn't let it work. I'm currently using it for my MacBook air to a Samsung monitor and it works perfectly with no issues.

I bought this to power my LG monitor via Anker 777 TB3/4 dock from MBP 2020. It gets extremely hot that we can't even touch it. secondly 4k@60hz, the screen gets refreshed almost every minute annoying the viewing experience. The screen refreshing stops only when you set your display settings to 4k@30hz beating the whole purpose of your laptop rendering 4k@60hz!

I do not recommend this product. Use USB-C to HDMI 4k@60hz from iVanky. you will not regret it!

Fine but doesn't transfer sound

In aller kürze: In Sachen Bildübertragung macht der Adapter was er soll und das zu einem sehr akzeptablen Preis. Bedauerlicherweise kann mein MacBook (Pro, 2018) keinerlei WiFi-Verbindungen aufbauen, solange eine Bildübertragung über den Adapter stattfindet. Das ich das MacBook beruflich nutze und während der Übertragung auf einen zuverlässigen Internetzugang angewiesen bin, leider ein NoGo.

Edit: Nach einem Kontakt zu Uni Deutschland wurde mir ein Ersatz geliefert. Dieser funktioniert bisher wie er soll.
Großer Pluspunkt für den Kundenservice.

Ich benutze den Adapter um einen 34“ LG Ultra Wide Curved mit UWQHD Auflösung (3440x1440px) bei 60Hz an meinem MacBook Pro 2018 zu betreiben (siehe Fotos).

Keine Probleme, funktioniert! Der Adapter schafft natürlich auch HDMI 2.0 mit richtigem 4k (bzw. UHD) mit 3840x2160 Pixeln bei 60Hz.

Umflochtenes Kabel, gummierter USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) Anschluss und Alu lassen den insgesamt ca. 20cm langen Adapter sehr hochwertig wirken.
Farblich passt der Adapter ganz gut zu den neueren MacBooks ab 2016 in Spacegrau, jedoch nicht perfekt, er ist etwas dunkler.

Den USB-C zu Ethernet (LAN) Adapter von diesem Hersteller kann ich ebenfalls empfehlen!

Und wieder einmal - UNI USB-C Geräte überzeugen.
Ich besitze bereits andere Geräte von Uni (USB-C-Verlängerungskabel und SD-Kartenleser auf USB-C).
Für meine Weiterbildung benutze ich mein iPad Pro 11“ (2018) und mein MacBook Pro 15“ (2016)
Beide setzen auf den neuesten USB-Standard - wovon ich sehr überzeugt bin. Jedoch benötigt man eben (noch?) für alles einen entsprechenden Adapter.

Jedoch überzeugen mich die originalen Adapter von Apple nicht ganz.
— Erstens: zu teuer, zweitens: die Kabel sind sehr bruchanfällig.
Bei UNI-Produkten jedoch, bekomme ich ein Kabel, das mit einem recht bruchsicheren Stoff überzogen ist. Das ist schon mal perfekt.
Außerdem überzeugt mich die Qualität der USB-C-Stecker.
Da ich viele Präsentationen über den Beamer laufen lasse, war mir ein HDMI-Adapter auf USB-C sehr wichtig. Und genau hier kommt UNI ins Spiel. Produkt funktioniert wie gewollt - Adapter ans iPad - Kabel anschließen - fertig.
Und gut aussehen, tut es auch noch — eine schöne Aluminium-Oberfläche, die dem SpaceGrey des iPad Pro wirklich extrem nahe kommt.

Also ich bleibe dabei. USB-C Geräte sind extrem vielseitig und wunderbar einsetzbar, doch Adapter sind momentan noch nicht wegzudenken. UNI bietet überzeugende Produkte, zu guten Preisen und optimaler Qualität.

Äußerst wünschenswert:
Ein kompletter Adapter, angepasst an das iPad Pro (USB-C mittig), mit HDMI, miniSD/SD-Kartensteckplatz, USB-C und USB 3.0.
Ein Adapter für alles - vielleicht kommt es ja noch ;-)

Habe diesen USB-C auf HDMI Adapter für mein neues MacBook Pro 15" (2018ner, Core i7 und Radeon 560) gekauft. Ich habe auch bereits andere Adapter getestet bzw. in meinem Besitz, aber mit diesem bin ich am zufriedensten.

Angeschlossen habe ich einen Samsung U28E590D Zoll Monitor mit 4K Auflösung und 60Hz. Andere getestete Adapter unterstützen teilweise kein 4K mit 60Hz, was zu einem sehr unangenehmen Ruckeln führt. Hier auch ein Pluspunkt für Uni.

Optisch passt der Adapter in Space Gray auch hervorragend zum MacBook in Space Gray. Die Wärmeentwicklung ist meiner Meinung nach im normalen Bereich für USB-C => HDMI Adapter. Ich hatte bisher keinen anderen Adapter, welcher kühler bleibt als dieser, also gehe ich hier von einem "technischen Normal" aus.

Die Passgenauigkeit der USB-C Stecker ist auch sehr exakt verarbeitet. Von anderen billigen USB-C Adaptern weiß ich, dass diese nicht immer exakt Verarbeitet sind und beim Einstecken in den MacBook USB-C Port etwas schwergängig sind. Dies führt dann mit den Jahren dazu, dass die Ports am MacBook etwas "ausleihern" können.

Ich habe bereits zwei Stück gekauft, da ich Monitore an wechselnden Arbeitsplätzen habe und diesen inzwischen anderen Adaptern vorziehe.

Würde ich, wenn benötigt, auch noch ein drittes mal kaufen.

Nachtrag:
Inzwischen nutzen wir in der Firma vier MacBook Pro 15" 2019ner Modelle, welche alle mittels zwei von diesem HDMI Adaptern an 28" 4K Monitoren oder 24" Full-HD Monitoren angeschlossen sind. Das heißt auch zwei dieser Adapter gleichzeitig an einem MacBook Pro sind kein Problem.
