First single for their new album, I think they have made an amazing job. ..even better than the blackbird. Can't wait to get the fortress!!!

Okay - so I am way late to the review party here. The guitar solo on this song is mind-blowing - 30 seconds of pure melodic adrenaline. I love zooming straight to 2:38 and listening until 3:10. If you have this song give it a try. If you don't agree I'll give you a refund. To any older rock fans think of Michael Schenker circa Lights Out (or Mother Mary from Strangers) teleported to now with an extra shot of juice.

While this song may not be their best work, and it certainly isn't their most original, I think this is the best lead single for an album they have done. It is catchy and radio-friendly.

Hoping the rest of the album goes back to displaying the awesome range they've shown in the past on songs like 'Blackbird' and 'Slip to the Void.'

Addicted to pain is a good single, but its pretty much the same as any other music put out by them.I would recommend this single to anyone new to the band, but its not anything special. It sounds similar to anything else by Alterbridge. If you are new to the band, I would suggest buying Blackbird, becuase it is the best album that alterbridge has done.Addicted to pain is a pretty good single, but I am not overly impressed with it, to be honest.I would say that they are melodic hard rock, because they always have melodies in every song and they are the kings of guitar solos. They usually have a guitar solo in about every song.
