Crave is the first book in the Addicted To You series, which was previously known as the Silk series. It is an intense, raw and gripping series that deals with addiction and obsession. Do not go into this book thinking you will get a happily ever after at the end, because it will not happen in this book.
This is the story of Ian Anwell, a New York Times best selling author of historical fiction and Kristina Richards is an actress, who Ian is drawn to by watching her movies, and he has to meet her, he needs her to become his muse. Both of these characters are flawed and each one knows what it is like to be addicted or obsessed, whether it be to drugs or another person. They both want to be accepted for who they are, they want to trust but that trust doesn't come easily.
K.M. Scott has a way of making her characters come to life within the pages of a book, as the reader you can feel their happiness, sadness, confusion, and pain. Her characters in this book are far from perfect but they are doing the best they can under the circumstances that are their lives.
This is a short, steamy, erotic and emotional read, that leaves the reader wondering if these two imperfect people will complete each other or tear each other apart. I give this one five very addictive stars and highly recommend it.
Adore (Addicted To You #2)
Adore is the second book in the Addicted To You series, it was previously named Silk and this was volume two. Ian and Kristina, two seriously flawed people. They are both addicted and obsessed, not only to one another, but other things also. Sometimes they cannot live together and at the same time they cannot live apart.
The beginning of Adore, finds that the couple have been apart for a week, which has lead Ian to do some things that made me want to strangle him. Once again they find their way back to one another, and Ian having his muse back can write again. Kristina has some really great news about her job but she doesn't want to tell Ian because she is afraid he will be hurt, because of some plans he has made for the two of them. The end of this volume ticked me off a little. Ian acts as though he is the only one with a career in this relationship!! Oh yeah, I did mention that he was seriously flawed, right?
Anyway, on to Shatter, volume three. It's weird that K.M. Scott can take two flawed, obsessed, addictive characters and have the reader rooting for them. It is almost like you want to hate these two people for some of the stupid stuff they do, but you just can't!!
Shatter (Addicted To You #3)
Shatter is the third book in the Addicted To You series, previously known as the Silk series. For me this was the most emotional of the series, my heart cried for Ian. The obsession of Ian and Kristina continues in this book, five weeks has passed since the ending of Adore, and a lot has happened in that time. As they are trying to deal with their separation, one bought on by their own making, Ina and Kristina, make some seriously stupid mistakes, as I said before they are both seriously flawed. Ian broke my heart in this book, and it was a very emotional read. I am sure it was as hard for K.M. Scott to write about Ian's falling apart, as it was for me to read about it. Yes, he is a flawed, messed up, dependent man but at the same time I could not help but fall in love with him. That being said, I wanted to snatch a knot in Kristina's neck, she really needs to quit running, put on her big girl panties and either be there for Ian or leave him alone! I am beginning to sound like I know these two personally. That is because this volume had a lot going on it, and the fact that K.M. Scott could put me through so many emotions while reading it, just proves what a fantastic author she is.
On to Claim, the fourth and final book in this series, and I hope I can keep my cool and not sling my kindle at something!!
Claim (Addicted To You #4)
Claim is the fourth and final book in the Addicted To You series, formerly know as the Silk series. Once again, Ian and Kristina are separated, they seem to keep turning away from one another instead of towards one another. But there seems to be one big difference in this book, Ian seems to be stronger, tougher, and more determined. Kristina, realizes her mistakes, and she is really trying to face them, regardless of the outcome.
This series has been a very emotional roller coaster ride loaded with ups and downs. There have been twists and turns along the way, that either made me cry, made me angry, or made me happy. I want to thank K.M. Scott, for writing a love story that is totally different from any I have ever read. It was a heart wrenching read at times, that focused on love, lust, obsession, addiction and need. She took two characters that were flawed and brought them together, not in a perfect union, but one that makes you realize if you want something bad enough, you will fight for it, and win. It is a story of two people, who know they will have to face more obstacles, but at the same time they are not afraid, their love has made them stronger
Loved Ian and Kristina, and I give this entire series, FIVE scorching hot stars!!!
In this boxset is the complete story about Ian and Kristina.
I love Ian, I think he's a great man. Troubled, with serious addictions, but he sure is confident and leave no doubt that what he wants he gets it! And he's a writer, a sexy writer!
Kristina is an actress, a shining star, with fears and doubts about herself, broken... she's everything she hides from the public eye and of course, she becomes Ian's muse.
When they meet for the first time, they get completely obsessed for each other.
Their relationship grows until the draft of his next book becomes too much for Kristina…
No way I'm going to spoil this story with more detail, this is too good, you need to read it!
All four books are well written, very detailed, in dual POV, making us understand exactly what’s going through the characters mind.
Its amazing how K.M. Scott can explore these emotions all together and bring us a book that will keep us reading and craving for more! The anxiety that this story gives us is nerve wrecking!! Its also very sexy and unbelievable hot!
One of the best stories I read so far!
