The hardware includes Adeept's version of the Arduino Uno, multiple types of sensors, jumper cables, input and output devices and circuit building requirements. Everything is neatly separated. The quality is very good as every piece of hardware fits snugly and looks like can handle multiple experiments. The breadboard is a solid piece of plastic and holds firmly to inserted pins. I was a bit taken aback with the small size of the items but I realised this is the nature of electronics these days. There are a couple of items that come with head pins separately and will need to be soldered. It would be great if they come pre-soldered from Adeept but I realise that it is best left for the user as not all pins are required. It is not necessary to solder if you do not intend to attach them to the bread board. I plan to use alligator pins that I got separately as I do not know how to solder.
All the experiments in the guide come with explanation of basic concepts. Color pictures of circuits from different angles makes it easy to follow along. Setting up the Uno with the Arduino IDE on my computer was very easy. Within half an hour of receiving the package, I was able to successfully setup the hardware and software to blink a LED. Watch the attached video to see how easy it is to build experiments.
This kit goes a long way and every thing one needs to begin with Arduino is included. Furthermore, the manual includes some of the C language programs that you may already know or need to learn to write to make the Arduino sing your tune. Adeept also provides a PDF version of the manual and downloadable code for all experiments. This made it much easier as I could quickly copy and paste code to see how it worked. I am not a C programmer but I am now able to understand what each program intends to do with the circuit.
With this Started Kit, You can start and increase your Arduino programming knowledge.
