I purchased this glue dot runner to help me put together a few pieces of art, made from various bits of scrapbooking paper, for a new baby's room. The glue dot runner was easy to use right out of the package. The glue allowed me to reposition items when I didn't get them quite lined up, but it held firm once I pressed the items into place. It was also very easy to clean up when I inadvertently got some glue dots on my work surface. Just a quick rub with the finger took the glue right off - very similar to rubber cement.
The glue has no smell at all and is super easy to use. The rolling action is smooth and did not tug at the paper at all.
I am very happy with this particular glue dot runner. I will definitely buy it again if I need more glue dots!
When the dot runner came, I finished up the ones I had been working on, and then went back to insert enclosures a few days later. As I was inserting the enclosures, I noticed that every single one of my invitations was popping off the pocketfolds. I was literally able to pull all of them off - I have no idea what happened with the glue.
I then had to individually pull every invite off the pocketfolds (the glue was so bad that I only ripped one, everything else pulled off easily). Save yourself money and time and just invest in the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider. I ordered one of those, and while big and intimidating, it's surprisingly easy to use and holds like a dream, even days later. I did some research, and that's what most professional invitation designers use.
