It really does help me with seasonal affect disorder. (My indoor plant likes it, too). It has 3 bright settings and an easy to use timer. Its "picture frame" type of stand is stable and adjustable and can even fit on a window ledge! It can be hung on a wall, too. Only potential issue is that you have to find a spot that works for your environment. It also needs to stay plugged into the wall. Only thing I might change is adding yellow toned color filter to warm up the light, but that very well might diminish its effectiveness.

I previously had a light therapy lamp from a company that I consider to be THE name in this space. It was a fine lamp and lasted several years, however, the bulb in it gave out and replacement bulbs cost almost as much as the unit itself! I found this lamp, and besides the price the other attractive feature to me is that it uses LED bulbs, which theoretically should last much longer. We'll see.... I've found that many LED bulbs I've bought that should supposedly be capable of lasting for 10 or 20 years end up lasting only a couple of years. So while the LED bulbs themselves may be capable of lasting a long time, that means nothing if the rest of the unit is a dud. So we'll see how long this lasts. So far it seems to be a solid little unit with some good features, such as three light output settings and a timer function. The flat style buttons are easy to operate and the unit is intuitive to use. As to efficacy, it's hard to say for me as I don't use it for issues related to SAD but rather as a means of getting bright light in lieu of morning sunshine since it's not always practical to get outside in the early morning. Regardless of your reason for wanting a lamp like this, I recommend this one!

It’s pretty dark here in the morning and this makes getting up way easier. Energising and super bright. I like it. Great price too. May not upgrade to a more expensive version as this works so well
