Great as a battery charging solution.

Can't beat what this buck converter can do for the price you pay. My application was for a Generac 7550 EXL Generator that incorporates a built in starter battery charging circuit. Unfortunately, this charging circuit is extremely simple and outputs way to high of a voltage (16 volts DC). Now this might not be a problem for an hour or so, but if you end up running your generator for days, then the battery gets overcharged and ruined.

I installed this between the charging output and the battery. Adjusted the output to 14.2 volts, and limited the current to 2 Amps. Now my battery is happy and will hopefully last a few years.

One thing to keep in mind. There are 4 mounting holes. If you use metal bolts or screws through those holes, MAKE SURE the heads are smaller than the silver tracing around those holds. Their are several circuit traces EXTREMELY close to those holes, and an oversided bold/screw could easily cause a short. My suggestion is to avoid any chance of this and use a non-conductive solution like nylon bolts or stand-offs.

Great little controller for the price. I'm using this to test out some different LED configurations for a custom lighting scheme for a growth chamber - and needed to be able to try out some different voltage/current settings. The knobs are tiny, but still easy to use and the whole unit is put together nicely. I've not had any issues with heat, but am well below the wattage rating for my uses.

Rock solid even with quickly fluctuating input voltages!

The output of this unit is so rock solid even with quickly fluctuating input voltages. Used it in a travel trailer where when starting the generator the voltage would go low and our VCR would reboot. This keeps the voltage to it constant and now it works flawlessly.

I purchased this item for a bench test power supply. It was really helpful because I could adjust the voltage and current independently as advertised. I am going to buy another set for my arduino projects because I will be able to limit the amount of current without overloading the equipment. I used to buy 6 power supplies to do the same thing that 2 of the DROK Converters can handle. It saved space on my desktop and minimized the heat generated. Very convenient and efficient, highly recommend.

Efficient step down converter

It's the best step down converter I have ever used and the charging.circuit within works like a charm. The only negative is that the soldering points on the bottom aren't protected by its design but other than that everything is perfect.
