I bought into the hype of this subscription service. It looked like a great deal stating you get all upgrades and its cheaper than buying all the programs etc....; however, it is only good if it works. After only three months my software would not open and required that I buy another subscription even though I had a one year subscription which up to date and Adobe was changing my credit card like clock work every month. Since it was the weekend I had to wait until Monday to call Adobe to get it fixed but by that time I lost work which needed to be done right away. This might be a great deal if you don't need to count on their service to operational when you need to use it. When I called Adobe after 20 minutes waiting on the phone I got representative who stated they could fix but they couldn't answer my question on why it happened in the first place. When I told them I wanted to cancel the service I was transferred to another representative with a another long wait to do so. Although my software didn't work I was still charged a $200 early cancellation fee for stopping the service and going back to using my old fully paid for computer based software.

Your fooling yourselves by buying into the CC hype. You will have to pay a monthly subscription on a year contract for the rest of your creative career. If you cancel your subscription, you loose access to all of your work because of Adobe's proprietary file types. You are literally being enslaved by Adobe the moment you sign up for CC. The lack of being given the option for a Perpetual License is a slap in the face to all of Adobe's clients. Imagine if you had to pay rent for every piece of software that you have on your computer, regardless of weather you use it maybe once or twice a month, now imagine what your monthly bills would be... If I had to subscribe to every piece of software I owned, my clients wouldn't be able to afford me & I'd be out of business. This is ground Zero of an outbreak & if it's not addressed quickly other companies will certainly adopt the same methodology, provided Adobe doesn't crash their stock value in the process... if you feel the same as me, tell Adobe What you think and spread the word, not just to creatives alone as this could become the fate of other software users as well. https://www.change.org/petitions/adobe-systems-incorporated-eliminate-the-mandatory-creative-cloud-subscription-model#intro

Yes that's right Adobe has decided to Abandon it's loyal customers. The long time users like myself that have already paid the heavy up front buy in price of Creative Suite. And now they want to charge $50 a month (with one year commitment) or $75 month to month for access to the Master Collection. Or $20 a month for a single program like Photoshop. The Master Collection contains every piece of software that Adobe makes. Something that honestly no one on earth would have time, skill, or need to completely utilize to it's fullest potential.

There are no middle of the road options for those who only do web design or video production and do not need every single program. And for users Production Premium that upgrade once every other version like myself, the switch to CC represents a 300% increase in yearly cost over traditional upgrades.

AND IF YOU STOP PAYING THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE THE SOFTWARE STOPS WORKING!

Adobe has done away with perpetual software licenses and has gone from being a company that SELLS software to a company that RENTS software. This means that if you were to stop paying Adobe $600 a year you will no longer be able to open or edit the project files you busted your butt to make, unless you pay Adobe more money.

THEY WILL HOLD YOUR WORK FOR RANSOM. Stick to CS6 and find alternatives. Unless of course you like being owned by corporate masters.

P.S.
Adobe put out a survey to production companies months back asking if they would be willing to switch to a subscription platform at a price of $150 a month... So if you think $50 a month is doable, don't be surprised if that price goes up once they've got you dependent on their system. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Bought a trial subscription, took forever to download everything. Even after verification was complete, the software continued to access the internet, which I wont allow for security reasons. I dont like have to subscribe to software I want to buy it and "own" it. The rental model caused nothing but headaches for us. Adobe is screwing up this up badly. The subscription model needs to be rethought out.

Like many others I'm a long time Adobe user. I kept up with current versions with the volume licensing program.

I mainly use Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, Acrobat and on rare occasions Illustrator. I don't really care about the plethora of other Adobe tools, but with Creative Cloud (CC) I need to get the "Everything" package with lots of stuff I don't want or want to pay for.

No options are available to pick 3 apps or 5 apps for less money - if you want 3 or more products with this pricing model you may as well just get the "everything" option.

Adobe says CC means you get the latest versions - sounds good but in Dreamweaver some extensions break in when new versions some out. Tough. You just get the latest CC version and too bad. While I'm on Dreamweaver, Adobe just dropped the server side actions support - that's support for database queries and server side actions that were widely used. Oops. Does that cause a problem? A free extension from DMXZone was eventually released to replace those essential features, but that's how Adobe thinks about the client.

As for the latest versions, pre-CC I was in the volume licensing support plan. I paid about half the price of the CS web premium and for 2 years I got new versions sent to me as they were released. This was excellent and with perpetual licenses (vs losing the application in 30 days or less if you aren't current) I could have multiple versions installed to support clients stuck with older tech in their web sites.

CC purchased annually will cost me $600/year every year for every seat. That assumes they don't decide choose to increase the price again and again. That's about twice what I was paying for the volume licensing support plan that gave me new versions as they came out.
