Here are the troubleshooting tips for this product: For Charging issues: Check the charger. To do that unplug the charger and then check the small metal ball contact on the charger and make sure it isn't sunken. The metal ball contact should be slightly raised. Next, try cleaning the contact with an alcohol swab and then try different usb ports or available wall chargers you may have. Skipping issues: Jot Dash does not provide a palm rejection feature, so make sure you're not resting your hand on the screen of your capacitive touchscreen device. Offset issues: Jot Dash may have a slight offset at more extreme angles. Try adjusting your grip and writing angle to see if that helps

#1 This thing is like buying a Cross Pen. Well constructed. I feel great using it.
I am a pen guy. It is part of how I get into my work mindset.
This has the professional feel to let me know I am at work when I use it.
#2 It just feels like a pen. It doesn't feel like a stylus. And, it just writes like a pen!
That is what makes this one special and why I use it in meetings.
#3 The secret to making it work is: touch your screen with the pen, when the first dot of ink shows next to your pen, write your word.
When you lift your pen, your phone sensor has to recognize it again as you touch again. Learn the timing of your screen.
Touch: See the ink dot: go. Writing in cursive works best because you lift the pen less.
#4 I don't hear the point of the pen touch the screen as I hit the screen.
Now, I can use this pen on my phone in a meeting.
The negative: The impact of this device will depend on your screen and your ability to learn the timing of your device.
Initially, you may not get smooth handwriting. However, touching the screen, seeing dot one, then writing is the secret to mastery.
Bottom line: Five Stars. I own three different devices now to test. Adonit Jot Dash is what I am taking to my meetings.
I prefer Microsoft Onenote as my app on Android, with a shortcut link to the notebook sections where I write.
App number two to try on an Android smartphone is Squid. For me, Onenote is the win for meetings.

Remember though, this is treated like a teeny tiny finger as far as the OS goes. So you're not going to get OS level palm rejection from Android, which limits you to app level palm rejection just like an iPad. Ditto for stylus APIs in general. Which is to say you're better off just NOT resting your palm on the screen while writing or drawing. In practice I find this works more like angling the tablet and resting my wrist on my stomach. By contrast something with OS level support, like a Galaxy Note will automatically detect an S-Pen stylus within about an inch of the screen. This doesn't do that on any device. And apps suck at palm rejection in my experience. iPad users are probably used to that though. Otherwise this is peeerrrrfect.
The charger is kind of sharp but solid. It feels like someone must have said the prototype was flimsy and an engineer must have said they could fix that. It's not gonna break. Unless you shallow it in which case it might break your insides. It and the pen are also strongly magnetic. There's no concern about it laying on its side rather than upright, etc. Just put the top (button end) of the pen near it and magneto-snap you're done.
