She’s done it again! In Adorned, Nancy gives us another rich resource to help us become Titus 2 women. As I read this book I felt that I was sitting in Nancy’s kitchen enjoying a cup of tea and a Titus 2 conversation. She invites us into her heart. She encourages and equips us to share the gospel and our lives with other women. This is a lovely book.
Author of Spiritual Mothering—The Titus 2 Mandate for Women Mentoring Women
I have seen firsthand and have benefitted personally from Nancy living out this message. I am so grateful for her as a sister in Christ, a mentor from afar, and a spiritual mother to many through True Woman/Revive Our Hearts!
Pastor’s wife, worship leader, author
Adorned is a Christ-exalting, mind-renewing, life-altering presentation of Titus 2 that will help women, young and old, embrace their call to learn from one another, to the glory of Christ our Savior.
Jackie Hill Perry
Writer, speaker, artist
This is a beautiful book, written by someone who beautifully lives out its truths. Each chapter is chock-full of wisdom and faithful instruction to help you grow—woman to woman—into someone whose life adorns the beauty of the gospel. What a tremendous treasure for this generation!
Mary A. Kassian
Speaker, author of Girls Gone Wise
Adorned is a beautiful call to Titus 2 living—life on life, woman to woman, one generation to another. We need this book. Nancy shares with wisdom and insight the importance of female discipleship in the local church. Her words will inspire you to faithfully pick up the baton of truth and pass it on to others.
Author of Walking with God in the Season of Motherhood and The Envy of Eve
I am so, so thrilled for you to experience this book! Adorned is beautifully written from beginning to end, and Nancy so thoughtfully reminds us how very much we women need each other. It blessed my heart and I know it will yours too.
Author of Lessons I Learned in the Dark and founder of Fresh Grounded Faith events
Beautifully written in poetic prose, Nancy has penned her most significant work yet for women in Adorned! This delightful, fresh look at the biblical mandate in Titus 2 is profound, yet practical. You will sense the Holy Spirit calling you to live the life God has made you for and called you to.
Retired RN and wife of Dr. Erwin Lutzer, pastor emeritus of The Moody Church
Nancy’s instruction, wisdom, and grace will challenge you to not only pray for a woman who you might call a spiritual mother, but you’ll also desire to be the type of woman others might call on—for the good of the church and to the glory of God.
Author of Enjoy, Fear and Faith, and United
Adorned is more than a book that articulates the virtues of the Titus 2 woman. You will be inspired to be biblically beautiful, adorned in the sound doctrine of God, and prepared for the kingdom work of God no matter your season of life.
Speaker and teacher
Nancy’s new book is a call for all Christian women—young and old—to live out the Titus 2 command of life-on-life discipleship. More than ever, we need women to show us how to live out the gospel in our daily life. Older women, we need you!
Licensed counselor, speaker, author of A Heart Set Free: A Journey to Hope through the Psalms of Lament.
This is truly Nancy’s legacy work. Through what feels like a personal conversation, she takes women back to the Greek and Roman culture to grasp Titus 2, and urges us to rise up today to adorn the Bride of Christ. This book will influence the church and the personal lives of women in a way that few books ever have.
Bestselling author of And the Bride Wore White
Nancy is one of the women God has used to shape me into a better reflection of Him. Her book Adorned crams a thousand coffee shop conversations about life, love, and godliness into a single, riveting book. Women in every season of life need to read it, reread it, and pass it along to the other women in their circle.
Women’s ministry leader, wife, and momma who would be adrift without the encouragement and support of her sisters in Christ
Nancy’s practical insight, ageless wisdom, and warm fervor rang like bells through my spirit as I read this book. Both like an alarm waking me and a recurring melody inspiring me to understand again how my womanhood is beautified and can blossom in a multigenerational community of women following the Lord day by day together.
Hymn writer/singer and mother of four daughters
In a world where in-person relationships are becoming the exception rather than the rule, Adorned calls the women of the church back to the vital and joyful work of cultivating real-life relationships centered on the gospel of Jesus. I am thankful for Nancy’s work to develop a resource on Titus 2 that is substantive, faithful, and practical.

The author encourages women to live out the Word of God, to live out our Christian faith so that others will not be able to accuse us of something we are not and to live in such a way that our lives reflect the inherent beauty of the message of the gospel.
The book is divided into three sections: A Woman under God; A Woman under Control and a Woman under Her Roof. At the end of each of the 14 chapters there are some questions for older women and some for younger women. This makes it a wonderful resource to use as a group study or to use in a one on one mentoring situation.
I received this book for free from Moody Publishers for this review but also purchased another one to pass along to a friend who is mentoring younger women.
Thank you Nancy for your work! And thank you Lord Jesus for Nancy and her heart for you!
Ladies, this is a book you want to read. Titus 2:1-5 speaks to women women of all ages. Older women (there is always someone younger than you) are challenged to impact the younger women around them.
I personally like the author Nancy DeMoss Wogelmuth so reading the book was a no brainer. However, I was challenged with each new chapter. Chapters like Doctrine: You and Titus 2
Grow Up and Step Up, You Don't Say, A "Sophron" State of Mind......many more until A Woman Overjoyed.
Each chapter presented sound Bible truths for all ladies. I would be remiss if I did not tell you that some chapters were easier to read than others but each chapter had practical questions and practical application.
Whether the "younger woman" or the "older woman" we have responsibility to live "that the word of God may not be reviled". Titus 2:5b
I highly recommend this book for personal reading or small group.
This resource has a strong biblical basis, uses Scripture accurately, and is biblical in its thesis and application. Everything about this book gives “adornment” to the beauty of the gospel. “Beautiful” is the best description for this book. The entire book makes much of God and his gospel, encouraging women to reflect it and to live lives that are “noticeably different” (37). The whole book walks through, word by word, a lovely exegesis of Titus chapter two, providing a robust, biblically sound interpretation of what it looks like to live for Christ and be an example to those who know you. For example, while looking at what it means to be self-controlled, “sophron”, she writes, “But the woman with Spirit-produced, grace-enabled self-control is anything but boring. Unlike other women around her, she is not a slave to her passions and impulses. She is free to love and serve God and others, free to enjoy His greatest gifts. Her life is a winsome, compelling reflection of the goodness and loveliness of Christ.” (169). Everything about this book is rinsed in Scripture.
This resource is also highly practical and easy to apply to one’s life. She includes a call to action at the end of each chapter with her specified questions addressed to younger and older women accordingly.
I have already given Adorned as a gift to my mom and friends. It is one of the best books I’ve read, and I’ve read some.

Nancy uses THE FIRST FEW verses of Titus 2 and explains each word or phrase from a Biblical perspective.
A "Titus 2 Woman" almost replaces the common phrase, "a Proverbs 31 woman" and through this book makes a "Titus with woman" much more attainable.
Each chapter has specific reflection for younger women and different reflection questions for older women.
