The rest of the images are very nicely done and all of them include butterflies, six are individual butterflies centered on the page, others are flutters of butterflies filling the page or in graceful patterns, you will find 3 like the cover page and other patterns made up of butterflies and flora.
If you love butterflies you will love this book.
1. 30 illustrations printed one per page (the back of each page is blank)on light weight, bright white paper.
2. All markers and gel pens leak through the pages, I place a piece of paper under the page I am coloring to prevent damage to the next page.
3. Many of the illustrations cover the page and continue off the pages, but 1/8th inch has been left between the image and the binding so you can color the entire picture.
4. The printing is not centered, 7 of the images in the book I got are cut off at the edge of the page, these are smaller images and include individual butterflies that should all be on the page, also Butterflies is spelt wrong on the cover of my book it is Butterfies . The images are all printed crisp and clear and perhaps these pages will be corrected in a future edition but I am knocking this book one star for this.
There are 30 different coloring pages to choose from. There is a mixture of detailed designs that cover the entire page, large butterflies that cover one page and the level of difficult ranges from simple to hard. The coloring pens do bleed through so you will need to insert a piece of plastic or cardboard. I really like that each design is only on the front page and the back of the page is blank. In that way, you do not ruin any pages because the markers bleeding through.
I like the whimsical design of some of the butterflies. Some have swirls and flowering wing patterns that are not found in nature. You can be so creative as to the color choices you use. Some of the designs have the dark shadowing. What is really neat is that I colored one of the dark shadowed pages and when I turned the page over, to look at the back of it, just what I had colored showed through. None of the lines or dark shadowing came through. It produced a really neat effect.
Besides regular tipped markers, you can also use the fine-tipped markers. There is plenty of small detail to accommodate those markers. One thing that the book did not have is perforated pages. This did make it a little difficult to get the pages out of the book. Overall, I am very satisfied recommending this coloring book!
