Several editions from now, this book will be quite good... however as of now, it's rather miserable.
It's chock full of mistakes and typos. Derivations presented are like Swiss cheese: filled with holes. Unfortunately, that makes the book nearly impossible to follow when studying.
Problems are filled with typos, and there aren't enough "basic" problems relating to information presented in the chapters. Instead, problems are vague and convoluted.
On the plus side, Faghri attempts to present the material in a very practical manner from the perspective of someone who uses it regularly. Unfortunately, this book needs several more revisions/editions before I could recommend it to anyone for anything (aside from scaring undergraduates!).
