That being said, this is not a lightweight volume by any means. Unlike its predecessor, you have to know a bit about linguistics to get the most out of it--and to be honest, I'm not sure I know enough! I could have done without quite so much of the chapter on logic; all those Ps and not-Qs kind of got confusing after a while. But it's a heck of a read.
