The aviary probably works best for finches or maybe cockatiels, although I will be putting lovebirds in it. I have it put together but in the process of painting it so is not set up with the birds yet.....but I think they will love it. Concern will be on whether they will chew up the wood.....which is probable. They are in a similar but smaller wood aviary now and have managed to chew up the wood on the inside somewhat so expect there will be some of that with this one, too.
Another modification I will be making is for the food. Since this will be an outdoor aviary, I want someway to shield the food dishes from getting wet and moldy from the rain. Obviously some work involved to make it practical for outdoor use but I believe it will be well worth it when completed.
