If you grew up loving classic books like "My Side of the Mountain", "Gentle Ben" and the "Little House" series like I did, you probably want the same sort of books for your kids. Mike Adamick's new series about the plucky and adventurous Crash Adams is just what you are looking for. I was never that much of an outdoorsman as a child, but reading Crash's adventures makes me wish I had been. Entertaining and educational, the only thing your kids will wish for when they're done reading this is that it was longer.

He stopped reading his endless stream of treasured Diary of a Wimpy Kid books in favor of Crash Adams, which is about the highest endorsement an almost 8-year-old can make. When my son finished he asked if he could read more Crash. Except next time possibly with zombies. So, you know, get on that!

I like to read books like this before handing them over to my kids, and this one did not disappoint. Crash Adams is a great example of kids taking charge of their lives, and the small moments in them. When she ends up in hot water, she only looks to herself—her smarts, experience, and grit—to get out of it. Great pacing, so visual, and exciting throughout, this is absolutely a series I will buy every volume of for my family.
