In the tradition of grand animated classics, Disney's 11th animated masterpiece, THE ADVENTURES OF ICHABOD AND MR. TOAD, presents two unforgettable children's classics. Through award-winning (Golden Globe, Best Cinematography, 1950) Disney animation wizardry, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS and THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW come together in one fabulous adventure -- in its original theatrical format. Hang on for a wild motorcar ride with J. Thaddeus Toad as he drives his friends Mole, Rat and Angus MacBadger into a worried frenzy! Then meet the spindly Ichabod Crane, who dreams of sweeping beautiful Katrina Van Tassel off her feet, despite opposition from town bully Brom Bones, who also has his eye on Katrina. The comic rivalry introduces Ichabod to the legend of the Headless Horseman, resulting in a heart-thumping climax! Wonderfully narrated by Basil Rathbone and Bing Crosby, THE ADVENTURES OF ICHABOD AND MR. TOAD brims with high-spirited adventure, brilliant animation and captivating music you'll want to share with your family again and again.

Bing Crosby the narration for the Sleepy Hollow part (Ichabod). His narration, and the animation make this an all time classic. Adults and children will be watching this decades from now. Its over 50 years old already! The adventures of Mr. Toad or "Wind in the Willows" is a classic cartoon as well. Watching it really lets me know why the ride at Disneyland is called Mr. Toads Wild Ride. Watch these both, purchase them, and enjoy. You will be glad you did!
You can tell Walt had pitch-perfect story telling with a perfected process of animation.
The two stories are timeless and downright fun. The animation and attention to detail is classic Walt. You get that same feel for his talent on the "old school" rides at Disneyland.
There are 2 vignettes. The first is Mr. Toad (I was hoping for the "wild ride" scene depicted on the Disneyland ride, but alas there isn't one) and it is a sincerely entertaining tale (they both are). Mr. Toad is narrated by Basil Rathbone (who played Sherlock Holmes in films of the 40's).
The second is Ichabod, essentially the story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. However, again, the story is told in fun, plenty of humor, and a couple of Bing Crosby songs that'll have you tapping your toes, f'sure. Paired with hand drawn animation, it's truly a spectacle to enjoy if you like Disney.
