We purchased this book for our granddaughter for Christmas. At this time she's 33 months old. She loves anything that goes, in particular, Thomas the Train and Paw Patrol, and she refers to her tricycle as her "motorcycle." She has asked everyone to read the book to her, so it's clear she likes it. She seems to dwell on one image in particular, the one of the mountain road, where she likes to trace the road.
The book is short, so a child much younger than she would enjoy it as well. Also, there aren't a lot of words on each page and they're in large type, so I suspect that when she starts to read in a couple of years this will be one of the first books she can read by herself.
It manages to be cute and entertaining, while also making a point of good safety practices and while showing that motorcycling is for both boys and girls. If there's one gripe I have, it's that the illustrator might have drawn Mimi as the pilot in one of the two places where Mimi and Moto are on the same motorcycle. In one case, Mimi is on the pillion seat, and in the other she's in the sidecar.
It rates 5 stars, though... highly recommended.
