About the Author
T.R. Maxus lives in Denver with his wife and three cats. When not writing he spends time traveling, reading, playing guitar and piano, enjoying wine, spending time with amazing friends, and playing sand volleyball. In 2016 Maxus finished the sequel to Aenamus: Silent Blood entitled "Aenamus: Executive Reckoning". He is currently working on his third novel. "Writing these two books provided me with an ideal outlet for venting my frustrations through one of the most satisfying and addictive mediums I've ever known: fiction writing. There have always been bad people in society. But as technology continues to shrink our world, their reach and influence spreads faster and farther than ever before. And as modern culture becomes more and more politically correct, apathetic, and aloof, it’s more important than ever for new voices to shout through the fog – to make a little noise. Hopefully I’ve accomplished that with Aenamus. There is an amazing release and satisfaction that comes from putting ideas on paper and sharing them with the world. If readers get half as much enjoyment out of the Aenamus series as I did writing it, I'll consider the project a glowing success!"

In this book, the author explores the possibilities of that scenario.
What if there was a group of people who decided to take matters into their own hands and eliminate the worst people on earth - people responsible for thousands of others losing their retirement funds, responsible for cruelty to animals, responsible for sex trafficking, responsible for some of the worst corruption in the world?
This is a fast-paced, suspenseful, action-packed political thriller. From page one, you will be hooked and you won't want to put this book down. The author takes us to exotic locales around the world, while two opposing groups are unknowingly pitted against each other in a struggle between good and evil, justice and corruption.
The details, locales, and characters have been thoroughly researched and the scenes and dialogue are well-written. You can almost picture each scene in your mind like you are watching an action-packed political thriller on the movie screen.
Can't wait for the release of Book 2!
- a fascinating idea (what if a dedicated group of people set out to change the world through violence but wanted peace in the end - actually that sounds like a lot of radical groups)
- A few good action scenes
- Instead of action most of the book is characters thinking, venting or describing the evils of religion and conservative politics
- Instead of developing characters with nuanced personalities, the author settles for one-dimensional stereotypes. All TV preachers are twisted, money hungry, losers. All conservative politicians are stupid,
rabid, lowlifes and their followers are just like them.
If you like that kind of thing this book is for you. But for me it was too little action, too much dogma, and too much bias.
